My mother needed to move and called All My Sons moving company.  They said they would come out on Thursday, October 2, 2014.  They showed up and started moving her stuff and was there about 1 1/2 hours when my daughter came over and put the cat in the kennel.  When one of the movers saw the cat they told my mother that they were both alergic to the cat and could not move any more furniture due to the cat hair. 

She called me and told me and So I called my husband and asked them to call the office.  My husband was told that is was not due to allergies but because of the cat hair and that they did not want to have to clean the truck with all the cat hair.  They were driving a rental truck.  The office told my husband that they would drop the fuel charge off.  This was 12%.

At that point my mom said ok and drove to her new place with them following.  It took them more than an hour to get there since they were following my mother and she does not driver on the highway. 

I was already at the new place and when they showed up they started to off load.  It only took them 15-20 minutes.  What was taken off the truck was about 30 boxes, a desk, two fold up chairs, a small entertainment center, and a small wine rack.  Then the driver called the office to get the charges.  I told him that the fuel charge was to be taken off and also asked for a discount since the move was not completed.  He talked to his guy and asked if they could only charge $114.00 per hour instead of the $124.00 per hour.   I guess this was approved but am not sure. They also charged an upfront fee of 1 hour for travel time. After all was said and done they charged her $484.50 for 3 hours and 5 minutes.

Now I had to find someone else to move her on short notice by Sunday October 5, 2014.  This is not an easy task.  I called several places.  Had one assure me that they would be there Saturday and never showed up. Finally I got someone to due it Sunday afternoon.  They charged $79.00 per hour with no trip charge and were done in 3 hours with driver time and only charged $296.00.  They got all of the furniture and the rest of the boxes.
