The employer wants people to sign illegal forms before paying you for time worked. The employer says they will pay you for your time worked but then denies that you ever worked for them. The employer will not give you copies of anything you sign.

All Things Diapers response

I am not sure who this person is that claims they worked for my company. We can provide evidence that we have always paid all of our employees on time, and that all paperwork is provided to them as required by law on their first day of employment.
Since I do not know who this person is or when & how long they claim to have worked for my company, I must assume it is the following female who answered an ad we were running for a driver. She had two interviews with us. The first was in our retail store, the second was a test drive. Both our store and our vehicles have CCTV to protect our customers and staff. At the end of the second interview she was asked "if we hired you, is this a job you see yourself doing" she said "no, but I will do it until something else comes along". She stated that she had been unemployed for several years, and she had to go on interviews to continue to get her benefits. No job was ever offered to this woman with our company, and we went on to hire another applicant.
After the interview, the female in question filed a claim with the state of MN claiming that she worked for my company for one day and we owed her $600 for the interview. After we provided the state of MN with CCTV evidence and written statements, they advised us to pay her the state minimum wage for her time during the second interview. They advised this as it was not the first time this had happened in MN and it was cheaper to do this then go to court.
The state arranged a time for her to come back into the store and fill out the required IRS paperwork and collect her money. She never arrived at this time. After we contacted the state again, she arrived 2 hours late for her scheduled time. The state told us that she had been advised that she had to fill in all of the legal paperwork required by the IRS for us to pay her. She refused and started yelling at our staff and customers who were in the store at the time. She then tried to grab the cash and IRS paperwork from the desk and storm out.
Immediately after this incident, we contacted the state of MN to ask what to do. They had us provide CCTV of the event and written statements from our staff and customers. We offered to have all of the IRS paperwork and the wage delivered to the state and have her fill in the paperwork at their offices and collect her wage. They contacted us back and told us that this is not the first conversation that they had had with the female and that they informed her that the case against us was closed. No formal action was taken against myself or my company. The IRS paperwork was never filled out and the wage was never collected.
If the person who wrote the complaint below is not this woman, I have no idea who it could be.
