All Tune And Lube Transmission Rebuild, wont honor warranty Indian Trail North Carolina

Had Transmission problem in May 2007. I had my 2001 Mercury Cougar towed to All Tune and Lube as the car would not move. I was told that the trans was burnt up and need to be completlly rebuilt at a staggering price of $2800.00. I oked the job and finally got my car back a week later.

I drove the car for about a month and felt the transmission was shifting hard. I didnt think much of it until I had to pull out into traffic quickly and it felt as if trans was going to fall out of car. I noticed a leak under the car, so I took it back to shop where I was told there was a loose trans line and that was repaired. The hard shift was caused by faulty valve body in the trans,which I was told would cost me $650 for part and more labor. I asked if under warranty and was told no , even though I was given a 24 month 24000 mile warranty when I picked up the car. I still have trans leaks and still hard shifting.

I have contacted BBB and can't resolve through them. I also contacted local TV station to see what they could do. After they contacted the shop , I was told that it was under new ownership and he wasnt liable for the warranty. He could only go by what the old store manager told him. He said the valve body was inspected during rebuild and found to be ok.

Regardless of what was found at rebuild, the fact is, I spent $2800.00 and still have a bad trans, and can not get the warranty honored.
