Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

Some history to start this thread. I stopped in with this company to get my tires rotated and balanced in August 2010. That didnt go so well. The broke 3 lug nuts and only rotated the tires, no balance. I was upset, but chalked that up to just a bad day and a bad mechanic.

I figured that I would never let them do any actual work to my cars at that point. I figured they could state inspections, but that was all.

So here comes that time to get my wife's vehicle inspected. A well maintained Honda 2006 CRV with 40k miles on it. Here came the ValPak in the mail and it had a coupon for the $6 inspection in it. I decided that since they hosed my car and took my money on that deal, time to let them suffer through an inspection and get only the $6 for their time.

I guess they figured my wife was a sucker and stupid. We drop her car off and leave it that morning. They call in a couple hours and tell me it won't pass. I ask why? Serpentine belt is shot and headlights are out of adjustment. I told the to go ahead and fail it, I don't want them touching anything on her car. So they did put a rejection sticker on it. Big no no with this state when a proper inspection is not done.

<<In a sidenote, this car has locking wheel nuts that require the special lug socket wrench. They never asked for it and I know they could not possibly have one that fit it. In other words, they never pulled the tires off to check brakes as req'd by Va State inspection.>>

I knew this was totally wrong, so I went and picked it up and took it the Muffler Shop on Horsepen Rd, down the street from these guys. I have used this place before for some work on a old Jeep, they actually called me back and saved me some money to tell me things that I didn't need to do.

So I figured they could verify if these guys were trying to pull one over on me.  Needless to say, they saw what I saw, belt was fine, nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with the belt.

Headlights needing adjustment? Not at all, they were fine as well.  After paying the $16 inspection fee, I drove back to these guys at All Tune. They saw me drive up and ran into the back room. They would not come out to talk to me.

I have since filed a BBB complaint and have contacted and filed a complaint with the Va. State Police. These guys will try to rip you off for unneeded repairs. Beware and stay away from this place, they are soon to be out of the inspection game if I can help it. I can honestly say that they have been a total fraud to me.

I just got back from meeting the State Police and the folks that run this store. The officer found them in violation of 3 vehicle inspection procedures on my vehicle. My car was fine and there was no reason to fail it.

He also found they did not do a proper inspection on my brakes. He wrote them up on these violations. He agreed with me and put them on notice for the violations and they have been written up for 3 charges of false vehicle inspections.

In other words, they will fail your car on purpose, then try to scam you into running up a bill on parts and labor for your vehicle for unneeded repairs. I strongly suggest you do not do any business with this place. The officer blasted the mechanic and manager for this and I got my money back.

I was glad to see in person a fraud get caught red handed and had violations written up on them. I was told they are now on 24 months of probation. One more complaint that is found to be true, they are out of the vehicle inspection business.

I gotta love a VA. State Troopers for doing their job and doing right by a citizen and letting crooks like this be put on notice they are on the radar of being frauds.
