Allegiant Airlines looks like a great deal to begin with, but they actually charge you extra for every seat on the plane!  Yes, that means the middle seats too.  I have to laugh at their website that claims you don't have to pay for services you don't use ie:  free soda  (I can't think of another airline that does charge for soda) But, we all have to "use" a seat, so maybe that's why we have to pay extra for EVERY seat. 

Then comes the luggage, carry on and personal item fees.  Guess what?  You can carry your purse or lap top or jacket on for free!  But they actually have fees for carry on's that fit in the overhead bins.  And you better pay for them up front or you'll pay EXTRA at the airport.  The checked baggage fees are among the highest in the industry.  And don't forget to multiply your round trip ticket X two seats; your luggage X two trips (to and from).

The Allegiant Website makes you crazy in itself, with it's detours to solicit you into their "Advantage Flex"?? club.  Another waste of money.  I thought the FAA was going to make it mandatory for the airlines to publish their fees in an apples to apples format??  It hasn't happened yet!  I only use Allegiant to get to a smaller airport they service (but only offer on certain days of the week).  The small airport service is the only good thing I can say about them.  I would recommend them to my enemies, just to aggravate the h**l out of them.
