Allegiant Van Lines Rip off Artist's Eugene Oregon

 After reading previous posts on this site concerning Allegiant Van Lines, it was almost like they were at my house.

We contracted Allegiant to move us from Iowa to Michigan, we originally contacted them in December 2012 to set everythng up. We paid our deposit and set a tenative date, we were told we could change the date but it had to be 30 days in advance. We contacted them in April and set a firm date of May 21 2013 to pack and ship our household goods.

We got called the evening of May 20 2013 and was told they had to go to the back up date of May 22 2013 ( I was not aware of a back up date ) Told them at that point in the evening that the back up date would not work as I had commitments to be out of the house we were renting and I had to be back to work. Of course no one ever called me back that evening. I finaly got a call the next morning that they would be on site between 10AM and Noon, of course no show, got a call about noon that they would be at my house around 2PM, that time came and passed, got another call that it would be about 5PM , that time came and went. They finaly pulled in my driveway about 6PM.

When the driver got there he walked through the house and said we had more than what was on the estmate. He estimated it would be almost $16,000 to pack and ship out goods. Even tho everything was spelled out on the quote.

This was suppose to be a full pack and ship and one of the first thing the driver asked me about was where he could buy boxes, as he had none.

After arguing with them they droped there price to $10,000, and offered to take what they could based on the $6500 estimate they were given.

They took nothing as I packed everything in a U Haul truck and moved myself.

Now trying to get my money back and of course no results. I have filed complaints with the FMSCA, BBB Atorney Generals in the states of Iowa, Michigan and Oregon. I am trying to find the Advocate that by law they are required to have in the state of Michigan so I can take them to court.
