I went with my son to an interview with Tommy Rector on July.28,2011.After listening to promises and lies I paid the 395.00 with a debit card on my sons behalf. You have a 5 day period in which to cancel, well Tommy kept beating around the bush and kept tellingme and my son to hold on and the 5 day period came and went.Tommy told my son that he had to come up with the 4500.00 to go to school and I had told Tommy that I could not come up with it and my credit was not good,He (Tommy ) even wanted me to use my motorcycle as a down payment and I said no I wanted all my money back and Tommy said I signed a contract and I informed him I did not sign a contract he changed his tune.I have been told so many lies from Tommy and a lady named Ms.Goforth.Every time I call I always get Ms.Goforth, and it is always a new lie.I have been told I would have my money before Thanksgiving well no money, now I'am being told the man who ever that is is the only one who can do the paperwork for my money back,Ms.Goforth keeps telling me he is sick he is not there and he has no name.I called today 12/26/2011 and Ms Goforth told me he was not there and it would be next week.

I'am tired fed up and I want my money back now.I'am tired of trying to be nice,I have had it with Alliance Tractor Trailer Training center and all their lies.

Rector was the Director of the school and no longer is. The new Director doesn't play these kinds of games. Goforth is no longer there, either, but she is at another trucking school. The new Director cares about the students and will go the extra mile for them. Likewise, he will make sure you get a refund if it is due to you.

If you are someone researching the school, be advised that trucking schools are not free-ever. Diesel fuel and tires and instructors are not free, so school won't be free. For some reason, people think that driver training is free and most of that is based on unscrupulous practices by company schools. No money up front schools are usually company owned or affiliated. They require you to sign a contract. If you leave training, or lose your job then you will owe money. Alliance requires you to pay up front, but you have choices about where you will work and are a free agent versus signing up for indentured servitude.

Think about it. Do you think you could go to college and get a degree for nothing? Trucking schools are the same. If it was free, you wouldn't value it anyway.

Alliance WILL teach you how to drive a truck and WILL place you in a job. You cannot get into the school unless you can be placed into a job. You pay your tuition, go to training and get placed in a job. It is really that simple.
