Allied Barton Security Services No overtime, Unpaid Holidays, Bullying, Lack of growth, Corruption Providence Rhode Island

     I have been employed with this company for a year.  When I started, I was promised advancment and 60-70 hour work weeks, but after a year nothing has changed.  The site I work for closes EVERY holiday, so we don't get paid holiday pay.  I was hired fulltime, but only get 36 hours a week with no option to work overtime.  Allied Barton offers no benefits at all during your first year.  No sick, personel or vacation time, no medical benefits and get angry if you ask for overtime.

     When my daughter was born last year, I was told that i had obligations to the company.  On the most memorable day of my life (Daughters birth) I was told i had to be back at work early the next morning, or I would receive disciplanary action.  I am trying to support my family on a 36 hour paycheck and the company don't care.  I tried applying to another site that was paying more money, but received an E-Mail saying i wasn't qualified enough.  I completed ALL 130 training courses, have 4 commendations for my work in security (Different Employer), 4 Years of Security Supervisor Experiance and great customer service skills, but was still rejected.  They refuse to let me grow and support my family.  This is the only income I have, so I take the beating every week, but I am growing badly into debt.  I don't understand how a company can be so cold hearted to hard working and loyal employees.  They make you stay at your current site, so they don't have to hire a new officer.  I have saved the company from losing this contract on many occassions, but get nothing in return.  When asked for overtime, I am told that it isn't approved, so they can get all the profits.  The manager had "jokingly" stated that I'm not going anywhere, when i asked to go to a better location that has more pay and hours. 

     I found out that you are ordered to do online training, so that the manager can get a bonus check, which makes sense.  We are told to contact HR if we have any concerns, but the HR Reps are best friends with the security manager.  They retaliate against you if you make any complaints.  If you report another employee for misconduct, then they inform the employee what you said, and make them aware that you said it.  I never seen such unprofessionalism in my 5 1/2 years in the security department.  I am a hardworking person and only asked for extra work to support my family and try to get myself out of debt.  The holidays are coming up and it's my daughters first Christmas, but i fear i won't be able to give her the first Christmas she deserves.  It saddens me that this company is fine with watching their employees struggle, while they collect their hefty bonus checks every month.  PLEASE listen if you want a living wage that can support your family.  DO NOT work for this company if want to be able to support your family and be treated with respect and dignity.  Please read these many reports and make your decision from all of us that have / are being treated like human excrement, but have no other choice to support their family.  If anyone can help possibly find a better job, I would gladly appreciate it.  I fear retaliation and termination for speaking up on this manner, because management uses threating and harrassment to get you to do what you have to do.  Please help me if you can.
