Yesterday (8/23/04) I received a call from a collection agency at my place of emplyment cocerning a past due cell phone bill. I told them I was in negotiations with AT&T about the bill and did not understand why it had gone to collection. I was then verbally challenged and spoke to in a very demeaning and condinsending way, and was basically called a deadbeat!

At that point I asserted my rights and requested that I no longer be contacted at work or on my cell phone (which they called prior toreaching me at work). This was met with more attitude. Today I received another call on my cell which was promptly followed up with a call to my place of employment. Again I felt degraded and was humilliated over the phone and again asserted my rights.

From a previous, and earily simular complaint found on your website I am about to follow those same steps to get this company to repect my right not to be call on my business cell phone or my office phone.

they only way that you can legally stop a collection agency from contacting you is by way of certified mail.Your request asking them to stop contacting you at certain phone numbers must be in writing. Once they have received the letter they must cease immmediatley. If they don't report them to your state agency and they will be dealt with
