AFTER ONE YEAR OF BEING ABUSED BY ALLTEL WIRELESS (OTHERWISE KNOWN IN MY BOOK AS ***HOLES), I DECIDED TO WRITE AND REPORT THE CROOKS. OWNER SCOTTY FORD OF THE FAMOUS FORD CLAN OF RIP-OFFS HAS A LONG HISTORY OF RIPPING OFF CUSTOMERS. HIS FATHER BEFORE HIM WAS ALSO A RIP OFF.

I SIGNED UP WITH THESE CREEPS A YEAR AGO AT A STORE IN ABILENE TEXAS WHICH IS THE CLOSEST TO MY HOME AREA ABOUT 45 MILES AWAY. WHEN I GOT HOME GUESS WHAT? NO SERVICE. WHEN I PHONED TO FIND OUT WHAT TO DO I WAS TOLD IT WAS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM AND THEY WOULD BE SENDING A SIGNAL DOWN THE LINE TO REPROGRAM MY PHONE. GUESS WHAT?? IT DIDN'T WORK AND I STILL HAD NO SERVICE. I PHONED AGAIN AND WAS TOLD IT WAS A BAD PHONE AND THEY WOULD SEND A REPLACEMENT. GUESS WHAT? AFTER 30 DAYS NO REPLACEMENT PHONE ARRIVED.

I PHONED AGAIN AND NOW NEEDLESS TO SAY THESE RIP OFFS INFORMED ME I WAS OUTSIDE THE TIME ALLOWED TO CANCEL SERVICE. AND IF I WANTED TO PURCHASE ANOTHER PHONE THEY WOULD CHARGE ME AND ADDITIONAL $187.00. I PACKED THE PHONE UP IN ORIGINAL PACKAGE AND SENT IT BACK TO THEM. SINCE THAT TIME I'VE RECEIVED NUMEROUS RECORDED MESSAGES ABOUT NOT PAYING!! IS DISPUTED THE CHARGES, REQUESTED THEY STOP CALLING BUT THEY CONTINUE AFTER A YEAR TO PHONE ME AT LEAST ONCE PER DAY, EACH AND EVERY DAY INCLUDING WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, SUNDAYS AND BEFORE HOURS (EARLY IN THE MORNING).

I HAVE BEGUN RECORDING THE MESSAGES WITH A TIME STAMP FOR PLANS TO SUE THEM FOR HARASSMENT. BEWARE OF THESE NO GOOD ***HOLES!! IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEM AT ALL YOU WILL NOT GET HONEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU AT ANY POINT.

First off, why are you SHOUTING? Typing in all caps is considered rude and makes you look ignorant. Now, on to your complaints:

1. You got a phone, got home and it didn't work. You stated they were going to "send software down the signal." Now I know you are either dumb or lying. There is no such thing. They would try something called Over-the-air programming, and you would know THEN AND THERE if it worked, before you hung up. If that didn't work they would immediatly talk you through manually programming it. You never stated they did that, which immediately shows me you are hiding aspects of your story.

2. They say they will send you a phone. OK, fine. However, you then stated you waited 30 DAYS? What ignoramous really thinks it would take that long? Be real.

3. Regardless, your phone would STILL be under warranty and they could send you another replacement. Instead you boxed it up and sent it back WELL outside you Service Guarantee period, which I KNOW they informed you of.

4. Now you are complaining they are calling you? Yes, they are, about a VALID DEBT.

5. Record all you want. It is not harassment for them to contact you, even daily, regarding a valid debt.

Care to try again, Mr. Half-truth?

Nothing usual here....all cell carriers are arrogant and cannot guarantee service in any area...even if that area is on their coverage map.

Before you sign any cell phone contract...get a prepaid phone or borrow a friend'/relative's phone of that carrier to confirm service in your area first.

Prepaid is the way to go anyway...I can afford a contract but I like the freedom to cancel at any time....T-Mobile/Net10 have ten cents a minute rate...If you talk less than 400 minutes a months...this is very cost effective.
