As I was researching how to contact the corporate offices of Alltel Wireless, I came upon the "Ripoff Report." I was very glad that I did because my trouble began with Alltel around 3 months ago. I had been with Alltel for 10 years. Boy what a smuck I have been.

First of all the plan that I was paying for was continuously being raised a few dollars each month. A plan that was suppose to cost $79.00 per month suddently has become in 10 years almost $150.00 per month. But that is not all of my problems with Alltel. I always paid my bill.

In April of 2007, I moved from Ohio to Alabama. I contacted Alltel to change my phone number an Alabama number. I thought I would get better signals if I had a phone number in the area. Wrong!!! But anyway, I called and changed from a 440 exchange to a 205 exchange for Alabama. You see I just wanted to change mine and my husband's phone numbers and I also had a phone for my son on my account and I wished to have it remain with the same phone number of the 440 exchange. I was not informed by Alltel when I requested the change that I would then have two separate accounts. One acct for Alabama and one account for Ohio. But I am only one person and should be able to have all the phone numbers that I have activated by Alltel on the one bill. No, not possible says Alltel.

So, then is when the hell started. I paid the bill for April. In May is when Alltel split my phone numbers up into two accts. But instead of Alltel submitting a market change request for my old 440 numbers for my husband and me that charged me a disconnect fee of $529.00. The stupid customer service representative did not do the correct code or something is what I was told.

Well, I called because they cut my 440 phones off. Which is my son's and my labtop axcess card account. I called Alltel and was assured that I would be credited for the mistake and to call back in a few days. I did, I was told it was done.

Several weeks later, my son's phone was off again. I spent 2 hours on the phone while the Alltel Reps researched the problem. Was told then that the wrong code was put in at the time of the credit and that the credit was not done. Assured me if would be done. Told to call back in a few days. I did.

It just continued on and on for 3 months. I could not pay the bill for the 440 phone numbers, because I had no idea what to pay. I continued to pay my bill the separate bill for the 205 phone numbers. Everytime I called Alltel to correct the situation, I was told a different story that the credit was not applied, the code was wrong, the credit had been done. Finally they told me recently, that I had to pay $623.00 to keep the phones. Of course, you know what my answer was.......absolutely not.

I told them to keep their -----service and sue me, because I was not paying something that they could not correct for 3 months. If I figured the amount that was owed for the entire three months of absolutely no payments, of course I was also told that the April payment of $350.00 was misappropriated to a wrong acct. Of course, I do not know where my payment went, and was not told by Alltel where it went.

So, I cancelled my service with alltel on my phone number and I decrease the other phone number for my husband down to the bare minimum to avoid another early disconnect fee. I will not be using Alltel now or in the future. I may just not pay the bill at all. I feel that Alltel made all the mistakes in not having qualified personnel to take care of a situation that got totally out of hand by their own representatives. I do not feel that I should have had to call them every week or two for 3 months. I feel they owe me every penny back I have paid them and should be giving me a year of free service or something. I was not in the wrong. They were.

Their representatives apparently are not trained in how to take care of a market transfer and also do not tell you that you will have two bills each month and the representatives apparently do not know how to correct their own mistakes or someone else's mistakes after they have been made.

I hope you can help me. I intend to contact the corporate office and I appreciate you supplying me the fax number along with the number to call.
