I was working remotely for the Xbox program back in 2014 for Sykes/Alpine Access. I decided to leave the program do to issues with the equipment the company provided, and after training I decided the Xbox program was not something I wanted to pursue. One year later, I decided to apply for the “Walmart program” position. I went through the process of the interview, assessments, and filling out paperwork. During the interview, I was informed by the recruiter (name Max) that even if we previously worked for Alpine Access, we would still be accepted for the Walmart program position. Once I completed the second interview, and all of the hiring paperwork... 2 weeks later; I received a rejection letter via email. Stating I was not eligible to be rehired at Alpine Access. And if I wanted further information from “HR” I needed to send them an email. There was no contact number to reach Human Resources (Which is ridiculous). I went ahead and sent an email to “HR” inquiring the reasoning of the rejection.

The next day I received a response which stated “Unfortunately, you are not eligible for rehire at this time. You did not complete your commitment period for the program you previously worked on in 2014. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.” To all companies that use the statement of wishing someone luck in their future Endeavors is very inconsiderate in my opinion, and definitely not sincere. There is nothing respectful about it! Anyways, I was unaware of the so called “commitment period” and Alpine Access did not take any responsibility for the defective equipment they provided during the Xbox program training that I attended. And they obviously do not believe in giving second chances. Therefore I will NOT recommend working for this shady company.

The hourly pay for the remote positions is only minimum wage ($8 an hour or below).  And they require you to work 40 hours a week Full Time, plus work on Saturdays. My advice to management: Be more considerate and reasonable to those who choose to work for your company!

Misinformed and Misguiding

Okay so I read your report. It seems you didn't read your contract before you signed it. There is a department that handles equipment repairs. You should have reached out to them. Had you gone into your VPN you would have gotten the numbers and email addresses for all of the contacts you needed. You also did not read your contract really closely or you would have seen the amount of required months that you had to fulfill to be rehireable. The fact that training is at minimum wage was discussed at hiring and again in your paperwork and contract you signed before you agreed to go to work for them. Oh and woe is you!!! You mean it sucks to have to work a 40 hour work week when you are working full-time??? And that one of the conditions is that you have to work on Saturdays??? There are people out there that would love to be able to work full-time even if it meant working on Saturdays! Furthermore, you think it is rude and disrespectful that they wished you luck in your future endeavors. Would you have rather they said you are a lazy person and we doubt you will find honest employment anywhere that doesn't require asking if you want fries or grits with that? If I am understanding you correctly, you didn't fulfill your contract minimums, got upset because they couldn't fix your equipment because you neglected to tell the right people and didn't have the backup equipment you are supposed to have, and you quit. Then you got mad because a year later, they didn't want you back? So you are on here posting about how horrible they were to you? LOL Pathetic.
