Please beware of this company, unless you like being ripped off and harassed. Dont be fooled like I was thinking this was an above board company.  Nash is the salesperson and very pleasant, but he too stated that he never agreed to the $9,000, that I must have been mistaken and I didnt get anything in writing to prove it.

This company knocked on the door and requested to do our roof and would only except what the insurance would pay. When the company saw our deductible they stated they would do the roof and gutters for $8,500, and would upgrade the shingles to 30 year if I gave then an extra $500, but we still said no.  He called back a few days later and said they would do the roof, gutters, and windows, (upgrading my shingles) for $9,000 said they really needed the work (Should have been a clue).  So we agreed, I paid them 3/4 of my deductible and knew I had additional item that we would be completing ourselves that would equal the rest of our deductible.  This company sent an invoice to my insurance company for $20,000 (Without even contacting me), stating all work was complete and that was their value.  Since the value was so high my insurance company wanted to do an inspection in 2 days (This was the first I had heard about anything other than $9,000 dollars).  I called my insurance company and stated that only the roof had been done and no other work.  I called the window person and stated that I was sorry, but I was going to stop any additional work with Alter Eco Roofing (and let Alter Eco know as well).  He stated he was a personal contractor, so I personally paid him since it was not fair for him to be out the money on the custom glass he had already purchased.  Jim Staley called me and demanded that I release all funds to him and my insurance company money was theirs and it was not there as a lottery for me, among stating that he would be filing suit against me, and my insurance company. 

My insurance company sent me a copy of their invoice, and when I saw it they had put all item, even the ones that I was doing, on their invoice, (as well as charging for items they didn't even use or do) and then they were charging and additional 10% contractor fee and 10% overhead and profit on all items even the ones that I had done.  I never signed a contract, so I did request a copy of the contract, receipts, and a final bill, which even made Jim madder, and he refused to send.  He began sending me threating e-mails and calling me a pathological liar, dishonest, trying to commit fraud, among other very nasty personal attacks. He texted the window person and threated him he would sue him and he should be careful if he ever saw him in person, and even sent a picture of himself to that person.  I did pay him what was agreed upon, that my insurance had paid.  I spoke to a friend of his that I work with and he stated that he would never do business with him and for me to look at his other business called Big Jims Wholesale and see how he was ripping those people off. So again please beware and do not use this contractor, you will regret it.
