Amber Carrigeer Stole our money using ebay gift cards omaha Nebraska

We found a Bobcat 773 on equipmenttraderonline.com

We contacted the seller. Supposedly it was her son that emailed us and said they had some medical issues in the family and his mom would get back to us. We finally received an email from her and we were told that her husband had a heart attack a couple of weeks ago and she wanted to sell it so she could move to Omaha with her daughter and son-in-law. She wanted to sell because it brought back too many memories.

We were told we would have eBay buyers protection and we could pay with eBay gift cards - $1500. And once it was delivered, we had 5 days to try it out. If we liked it, then we would pay the remaining $1500 after those 5 days.

We paid the first amount, and then we're told they would need all $3000. So we paid the other $1500. But they wanted that in a Walmart gift card because we had trouble with getting a third ebay gift card loaded with $500.

Then we get another email saying they needed another $1000 for insurance while it was in our possession those 5 days. That's when we finally decided this didn't seem right. Why wasn't that disclosed from the beginning?

We Googled the seller's name....Amber Carrigeer...and found her name and the toll free number are associated with various scams!
