AMG or Ambition Media Group is an unprofessional, time wasting company. They have tons of ads on Careerbuilder, monster,  Seven people were scheduled for a 9:00 AM "one on one" interview by one of the hiring managers, which just happened to be the secretary and the personnel director and the only employee. After 30 minutes of all sitting there staring at each other they took the first person in for their interview. EVERYONE qualified for a 2nd interview. The company has no website and no-one at the office where they rented a space had any clue what they actually did....there was no information about this company and there is a good reason for it. Dont waste your time, hopefully this will help someone out.

#2 General Comment

But what do they do??

AUTHOR: retreminy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, June 10, 2010

The original poster did complain about the interview process, however he also had issues with the lack of information about the company that was available.

I noticed that the employee who rebutted did not address the function of her company to which she was recently promoted to assistant manager. I received an offer for an interview with the company this week and before calling back to schedule, I went online and became equally frustrated with no information being available Ambition Media Group

The employee also alludes to the size of Ambition Media Group by comparing it to "the biggest of companies" and "enormous companies". I ask simply, why do you not have a web site?  Why did the response to my resume come from a g-mail account rather than a dedicated server? You are now an assistant manager: maybe you can enlighten me on these questions, and please dont try to give me the excuse of cost saving. I've seen the numerous job posting from your company and can only speculate as to your advertising budget.

The employee also seems to be overly invested in the protection of her company as an assistant manager. She tries to belittle the original poster with comment such as "you should be happy to get an interview." Do I want to work for a company that has that regard toward potential employees?

I finish by saying that I, being unemployed, feel blessed every time I get an interview. However, too many companies are trying to take advantage of the current economic situation by using scams and the like. I will go to this interview and post again, and I look forward to comments from the assistant manager. I hope this helps.

Well Im sorry your experience was like that but I have been employed with AMG for 7 months now and I have had no issues with anyone in the company and have actually been recently promoted to Asst Manager.. I mean realistically you can not expect to be the only person scheduled for an interview if a company has openings available to fill. I mean how do you know how many positions are open; if you all were interviewing for different positions; the circumstances for the delay. I mean come on, things do happen even the biggest of companies have down days. I feel if you applied to the company you should be happy to get an interview. How many enormous companies have called you back lately and given you an interview at your exact time and you are the only person there. Personally, if there were others there trying to interview you should feel happy to know that the company was real with opportunities actually available. Who cares how many people are there to interview. There are alot of peolpe who need a job, not only you. My question is how do you know if everyone qualified for a second interview, they never do group preliminary interviews, but even if that was a case, WHO CARES...CONGRATS TO THE OTHER 6 WHO WERE HAPPY GETTING INVITED BACK.
