American Airways Winner 2 roundtrip airline tickets. Phoenix, Arizona

Received a letter dated October 22, 2012 from American Airways addressed to me personally indicating that I had won 2 roundtrip tickets for travel anywhere in the Continental U.S.  Retail value of the award is up to $1,398.00.  There is a code on the bottom of the letter which read NW-61817.  The letter also stated that they have made several attempts to contact me by phone.  Signed by Cortney Kuhn.  There was no return address on the letter or envelope.  Note:  The postmark was Pheonix, Arizona.

The letter wanted me to call phone number 1-866-752-4386.  When I called the number a recording answered saying it was the travel rewards division.  When I spoke to the representative they wanted my credit card information to hold the "winning tickets."

This is a scam and I intend on reporting them to the Florida Attorney General which is my state of residence.
