American Auto Consultants, Jay Patterson business opportunity ripoff Overland Park Kansas

My name is Michael and I have been working with Auto Professionals LLC for some time as the website designer and internet marketer. I create and promote new consultant websites. In that time, I have worked with a variety of *successful* automotive consultants, as well as seen first-hand how Mr. Patterson conducts his business. He is ethical, generous, and christian in his business practices.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that someone has chosen to use this medium to slander Mr. Patterson and his business, but I would argue that every single report is not a report of fraud, but simply a cry of frustration from a business owner who has failed to live up to his own expectations.

Mr. Patterson provides his consultants every single thing that he promises, and more. Furthermore, any consultant who is struggling with their new business is offered the opportunity to call and seek additional advice and assistance. I challenge this and every other complaintant to provide evidence that they contacted Auto Professionals after they started and were struggling, yet were refused help. Just last month, I personally helped promote a consultant in Nova Scotia over the internet, at Mr. Patterson's request, to help improve their sales. Does that sound like the act of someone intent on fraud? I don't think so.

Finally, each new auto consultant is provided an agreement which both parties sign, in which it states quite clearly what their expectations for the business should be, what is provided by Auto Professionals LLC, and what recourse they have should something not be provided. Furthermore, these consultants are told that if for any reason they wish to get out of the business, Mr. Patterson will assist and cooperate with the sale of their business to a new consultant, affording them an opportunity to recoup their investment and find a business or job more suited to their skillset.

Of course, this particular report has gone far beyond complaining about the business and has attempted to smear J.W. personally. Unfortunately, nothing short of litigation will remove these comments despite their slanderous nature.

Mr. Patterson and Auto Professionals LLC has been in business for over 27 years. They have helped countless people across the country, both in getting into the consulting business and in the simple act of purchasing a new vehicle. When Mr. Patterson receives an application from someone who wants to consider becoming an automotive consultant, the first thing he does is interview that individual over the phone or in person. If they seem like they will work out, he asks for references! But, despite his best efforts, a handful of people have gotten into the business over the years who perhaps shouldn't have. These individuals are told up front what the business is about, they're trained on not only the consulting, but on marketing their business, and they're afforded the opportunity to talk to existing successful consultants. It certainly saddens us to find when someone has failed at the business, but who is really to blame here? Is it the teacher that provided all the tools necessary to succeed, or is it the student who perhaps thought their way was better and chose not to heed the advice offered?

The fact is, the people of Auto Professionals LLC are great people who are working hard to help others get into a great business and become successful. My last comment is directly to this and any other consultant who might be struggling: Call J.W.! If you don't talk to us, how can we know you're having trouble? And if we don't know you're in trouble, how can we help? Auto Consultants are not franchises, they're independent affiliates and as such, they're not required to report to or even talk to Mr. Patterson ever again. However, those that are honest with themselves and recognize that they have room for improvement, we can help you!

Mr. Patterson's criminal history goes back to 1973, I know because I was there. He was found guilty of interstate theft (armory) and coins. He served 2 years in the Springfield Missouri Federal Penitentiary. Again, I know because I was the one who picked him up the day he was released.

I have never known Mr. Patterson to be anything other than a "con artist." He is a good one too. With his good looks and charm, he even had me fooled as a young girl. A young girl (under age) of whom he got pregnant and never did a thing.

I have spent over 30 years of my life suffering from the con game Jay pulled on me. Unfortunately, I was too young at the time to have him thrown in jail for what he did to me.

I hope anyone who is thinking of doing business with this man will reconsider. It is inevitable that you WILL get ripped off one way or the other. Just reading his website made me sick to my stomach. There must be a God though as I finally found him. Looks like I wasn't the only victim in his reckless life. My prayers go out to the women who actually married the man and were equally destroyed by him.

For you Jay...life has a funny way of catching up to you. Guess it took me 30 years to finally tell my story. I can rest now. God help you.

This report does not even merit the time to answer these lies posted by my ex-wife. I will seek legal advice. She too, owns a company that could be impacted by such milicous behavior. I hope and pray that she realizes the pain she has caused both myself and my children.

Pursue litigation quickly through the Kansas Attorney Generals office. This will not cost you anything. Have them review the contract and the website carloversdream.com. If you know others tell them to do the same. Strength in numbers. This person and company has quite a history and it is not as the owner describes above.

It appears he moves from place to place to avoid being found. He's had several different addresses in Kansas over the last 10 years. Buy a background report online for about $30.00. It will tell you alot.

Also check the Federal Bankruptcy Court Records.
The owner John Patterson filed a Personal Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in October 2005, Records indicate a current Bankrupty Case number 05-27015. This man is ripping off the federal government for over $1,000,000.00 in unpaid taxes and the state of Kansas for over $350,000.00, as verified by the petition.

Additionally, as verified by the petition, he filed bankrupcty against his current wife for $80,000.00 and his exwife for $12,000.00.

Dig not far into the Johnson County District Court records online and look at Case #96CV16848, a divorce case from 1996 from yet another wife. This case has activity as current as July 2006. Ten years later! Look closely at the Journal Entries. It appears that Mr. Patterson has been summoned to the Johnson County Kansas Jail approximately 15 times over the last several years for failure to pay his child support. Entries also refer to medical and college reimbursement, and weekend jail.

He appears to be comfortable ripping off his wife, ex-wives, and children too, in addition to the Federal and State Governments, which are the rest of the PEOPLE of this country.

The lawsuits against this person and American Auto Consultants go back many years and there is no evidence anywhere to reflect American Auto Consultants was in business for 27 years, no record prior to 1991 on file.

Check the Missouri Corporation Commission website https://www.sos.mo.gov/ and you will find
American Auto Consultants LLC formed 10/28/2005 - Active, started new company the same month as the bankruptcy.

American Auto Consultants,Inc. formed 3/13/1991 - Administratively Dissolved by the state of Missouri August 31, 1998.

John Patterson formed another corporation in the same name on February 8, 2005 and dissolved on 7/15/2006 and shows it does not currently qualify for a certificate or letter of good standing.

Find as many people you can that he has harmed from these court records and contact them to see if there is any information they can give you to help you get your money back, or at least encourage them to place a rebuttal on this file or start a new file, so no other individuals will be harmed. There are several names listed in the Bankruptcy Petition that could be in your same situation. Take action quickly so you don't find yourself listed in another bankruptcy if you are not already.

No doubt, I concur, a criminal history is probably worth looking into.

My question is - How do you not pay $1,000,000.00 in taxes and not be in a federal penitentary? Our government needs to spice up their enforcement and get these people to pay up or get them off the streets. It's a life of RIPOFF!

Although, you say that a true rebuttal is not saying how wonderful a company is, it seems unfair that one individual, and it is only one, can slander and taint the good name of a company. I noticed from the list of companies that have had more than "one" are among some of the most respected in the country. For each unsatisfied person, there are many, many more that have had a good experience with those companies. For this reason, although we at American Auto Consultants understand this person's viewpoint, the facts could not be further from the truth. This individual was provided with all of the services and items listed in their agreement. We have never nor will we ever use "shills" to validate or verify legitimacy of our business.

Because this individual chose not to develop his business using the recommendations that have proven to build successes, he was a failure. By his own admission, he didn't have what it takes and was receiving pressure from his wife who made his initial investment. I consider his statements to be slanderous and unfair. We have many satisfied, successful Consultants that disagree and are also damaged by his claims.

Although I commend Rip-off Report for allowing people a venue to file complaints, it should also be noted that from time to time and this is the only such report filed against my company, a disgruntled person who is only trying to cause others harm should not be allowed to post lies unless they are verified to be the truth by your company.
