I no longer have a membership with AAA, but briefly held one liability policy up until July of 2010, when my insurance went into cancellation. The cancellation was due to my fiance and co-policy holder not getting her MN driver's license in a timely manner. Upon recieving notice of my cancellation, my fiance and I decided to let the AAA insurance cancel and go through another insurance company instead. I contacted Tania at St. Cloud AAA to see what we would owe on our account if we were to allow the policy to cancel. She told us that since we had just made a payment, that we would break even and owe AAA nothing. I then recieved a statement declaring that I owed AAA $120.82. So I called Tania at the St Cloud office again (in August) to clarify the amount I owed, she again told meI didn't owe anything and should disregard the bill.

After a few months I kept recieving statements from AAA saying that I owed 120.82 and I resumed ignoring them, until December. I called Tania of St. Cloud to confirm that the amount I owed was still zero, but Tania no longer works withthe St. Cloud office. I was then directed totheService Center800 number. On the phone I spoke with Alex on December 2, 2010 who confirmed that I owed zero dollars to AAA.

Just last week I recieved a letter from NCO Financial Systems, Inc threatening me on AAA's behalf. They state that if I do not pay the 120.82 they will notify the credit reporting agencies of my non-payment.

So, I paid the amount because I cannot afford to have my credit score tarnished; however, I appealed toAAA to reimburst me as soon as possible because this delinquent payment is in no way my fault and any debt that I may have incurred with AAA should be forgiven due to AAA's grossincompetency in carrying out customer service.

In my appeal letter,the AAA representative said that it was "not possible" to discount or rebate an earned premium. First, AAA didn't "earn" the ammount in question because I informed my AAA agent of my intent to cancel with the balance I had already paid (and Tania told me that would leave my ammount due at zero dollars). Secondly, it is absurd to suggest that this request is "not possible". I'm not asking AAA tobreak the laws of physics; I'm asking them to exercise business ethics by only accepting money for services rendered.

I am still in correspondence with AAA representatives over this issue and have only experienced more dissatisfaction with AAA. To this day, these representatives have not acknowledged any ofAAA's mistakes in dealing with my account.

Fortunately, I'm a good driver and have never had to file a claim. I'd hate to see how incompetent AAA is with handling theactual services thier supposed to provide thier "members".

On a positive note, the representatives werevery polite. They weren't easy to contact and displayed gross incompetencies at least three times over a six month period (on the same issue), but they were polite....
