.Contracted to make enclosed low bimini on the cockpit and a complete Camper canvas over aft deck with all hardware included in stainless steel.  Work to take approximately 2 weeks.  He demanded half up front in cash, half when finished.
It took several weeks (months) foerhim to actually start.  Then all he did was hang an off-the-shelf bimini top on the back deck.  Not attached properly. not sized properly.  I pointed this out as unacceptable and he re-worked the same bimini by sewing on an additional 5 inch strip (poorly).

Again I pointed out as unacceptable.  Both times on a cheap aluminum frame with plastic hardware.
He said it would look and fit better after the camper sides were made and attached. He never would do another thing on it.
It then took months to get anything else done.  Finally he showed up with the cockpit bimimi.  It was poorly designed with unfinished edges and zippers with no stops.  He hung it on the existing frame that did not work at all.  After this it was impossible to get him to come back.  Eventually I asked for my old canvas back to at least give my boat some protection.  He said he disposed of it. Repeated phone calls thereafter, and visits to his shop were fruitless untill one day he just disappeared.

The shop was empty as if no one had ever been there and no one ever answered the phone.  The property owner had no forwarding address.  After a few months his phone was no longer in service. My boat was exposed to the florida elements during most of this despite attempts to protect it with tarps.  This caused hudreds of dollas in water damage.  No other canvas shopIi contacted would touch his shoddy work or try to complete it.

Took us for a ride as well!

Well Ron is still up to no good. We did not do our research as he seemed on the up and up. Well after $550 for a seat that took 4 months just to get that is far from Custom work and filing small claims against him and several others reaching out to us that he has taken $1000 each from he is still taking from people without any remorse. We will continue to fight against this man and help all others that he has taken advantage of in the process.

We will not give up!
