Two Men from the telephone number 310-362-4312 called me and said I owed money to a company, but would not tell me the name of the company of which I owed, They claim to be a law firm, very rude men and very threatning, I asked them several times who I owed money to, but they would not tell me, I have contacted the BB with the names and the telephone number also, the Attorney General's office. They refused to give me information. They answer the phone very quickley that you cannot really understand them, it sounds like ACS (American Credit Services). Very unprofessional if they claim to be from a law firm or a collection agency. Also, the number that comes up when they call is 102-855-1013 and the number they want you to call back is 310-362-4312, as they leave rude messages. This has all been reported.

Good advice Laurie. I even told some people who get contacted by fake collectors the same thing.

Is illegal - no collection agency can just call and demand you pay them without providing details... There is huge FAKE DEBT COLLECTOR SCAM out there and has been out there for a while
go to abcnews and search on Fake Debt Collectors
IF THEY CALL AGAIN - Tell you have notified police and FBI about their scam and they won't call back
NO YOU CANNOT BE ARRESTED!
