American Eagle Van Lines aka LD Movers ripoff, low quotes later adjusted to double the cost. Pick up and deliver not on specified dates, add-on charges not provided in quote Hallandale Florida

My original quote came from a LD Movers. The company who picked up my things was American Eagle Van Lines. I was given a ton of excuses as to the how's and why's.

The original quote was for $1255.50, when they got done with me in had gone to $1930.07.

The furniture pick-up was delayed by 3 days. As of this writing my things have still not been delivered. Original delivery date given was December 4th, today is December 14th.

Everytime I call I get another story. No specific delivery has been given. The last estimate was "weather depending, on Saturday, maybe Sunday, possibly Monday".

I was charged extra for blankets to wrap items. I was charged extra for wrapping glass. I was told that since I packed my own things, the insurance quoted would be invalid and they were not liable to any damage to items.

For the final insult to injury, the driver in charge who picked up my items, told me that he tell customers up front that their tip is 10% of the quoted estimate. That they depend on their tips because they don't make that much money.

My roommate who was picked up by the same company had similary difficulties in getting her things delivered. The driver told her that he would charge her $200/hr. if he were kept waiting. Her delivery had been rescheduled 3 times.

My patience it at an end and this company and its affiliate need to be dealt with.
