American Freight Company representative did not live up to his promise Louisville, Kentucky

This is a complaint against American Freight, Louisville Kentucky                  

On Monday March 15, 2010 the wife and I purchased a two piece bonded leather sofa and loveseat from American Freight.  Our salesman or rep. was a Thad Andrews [Elvis] of whom we asked several questions about the product and policies.

One question was "if we don't like it after it's in our home can we return it". His answer was "you can re-select but we make no refunds. These units were delivered the following day [March 16].  My wife was very sick that week and after seeing the furniture in place' compared to their dimly lit warehouse, we just could'nt live with it.

By Friday the 19th wife was feeling better so we went out to re-select.  To our amazement we were told they could'nt accept afterthe plastic wrapping was removed. Elvis was not there that day, but we talked to their "new" manager of three days and he would not relinquish.

We still feel they should at least let us re-select even if we must pick something in fabric.  This would be easier to sell to someone than the leather would.

I would not recommend anyone get their "tail in a crack" by buying from American Freight. I fully agree with your report by "Amanda" of Aug. 15,2009 and I am glad she received a refund. That is our real wish now, but it looks pretty gray for that to happen.

Evidently these people are trained to lie or make up stories and to do anything to sell the product.
