American Home Mortgage Servicing Refund? What is that? Irving Texas

Up to this point (about 2 1/2 years), I haven't really had much of a problem. Suddenly, I realized that the increase in my payment was due to them escrowing for taxes.

My loan does not include taxes or insurance, due to the fact that mortgage companies usually withhold too much, but don't tell you about the extra money they have in your account when you pay off the loan. You have to ask for it.

At any rate, AHMSI suddenly decided, illegally, to withhold money for taxes. When contacted, they said it would be researched, "a request for refund" had been done, please call back on (specific date).

Called back, same lines. Called back, same lines, etc. Always wanting to know when and how THEY were getting paid,, no info on when I am getting paid!

I have now threatened legal action; guess what? Was hung up on 3 times.
