American Home Shield assigned an alleged A/C Service company to repair a leak in my A/C, but instead created a massive leak that took almost 2 weeks to repair. In the iterim, flooding invaded one whole wall and the tiles in 3 rooms. This situation created a mold problem and an unsafe mobility problem.
The tiles are loose and move when walked on. It has been reported that there are mold spores throughout.
Both residents are elderly, one is 82 and the other is 77. They feel they have been taken advantage of.
The problem was created on August 19th, 2011 and has not been resolved as of this date. AHS said that they are not responsible for secondary damage and it is up to the homeowner to resolve the situation with the service company.
The problem is, they are no where to be found, except by phone, unless they know who is calling, then they do not answer.
AAA All Brands Airconditioning is not listed in the phone book, mail sent to them is returned, calls have never been returned from their office number, and the service man who created the problem claims a different identity from what he represented himself to be at the first service call.
They were supposed to contact their insurance company, but when I asked who it is, they were unable to give me a name.
As of this date, October 27, 2011, AHS refuses to assist me in settling this matter.

I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me that since your contract is with AHS, you should sue THEM. Then they can go after the subcontractor for reimbursement.
I don't know the small claims limit in your jurisdiction but you might want to look into that.
