American Homes By United Builders Home Building RIP OFFS Martinsburg West Virginia

My wife and I purchased a home from American Homes' By United Builders in the spring of 2003. We have been there for about 6 months and have had nothing but problems?? After being in our home for about 2 and half months or so we had a water leak in our basement. We put a call in to our builder for repairs about 2 days later a man came out to fix the problem??? About a two week period went by when my wife went down stairs an noticed that the basement was flooded.

She came upstairs were I was and told me. I went downstairs to notice that it was fece's everywhere all over our new carpet, walls, doors, behind the furnace room,ect. I called the (24 Hour emergency line) no one answered so I called and left a message at there office.

The next day came and went as I was coming home from work my wife said that no one had called yet??? When I pulled up in to the driveway I stopped an American Homes Supervisor, and he was unawear of the problems? He said that he would help me out? 4 days later the problem was fixed however the for 4 days we could not take showers, use the toliet, or run any water... The supervisor told my wife and I to get a hotel for those days and there insurance would take care of it all??? On the 5th day Bob the builder came by and said that we would have to use our own insurance for all the repairs.

However the house is under warranty and we should not have to repair anything. After putting it in to writing and saying that they would repair everything I am stuck with 750 dollars in hotel bills and fece's and water to clean up in the basement, carpet replacement bill of 2,500 dollars. Also they never fix anything on there 120 day walk, door upstairs off and not painted, door bell not working, leak in the A/C system and no A/C for about 3 weeks, gutter off the house, PVC pipesstuck out back of our house till this day? They have built about 70 homes and a good piece of them have the same problems.

Foundations sinking, leaks, fires, floods, ect. I am trying to get a class action law suit going with other home owner I have about 5 people so far and I just started. I am going from house to house to get residents to sign on. I guess that is what happens when you dont have a builders license? It is also bad when your own workers do not like you and say that he the owners treat everyone of the buyers this way, other companies like Eastern Plumbing talks bad about the builder as well. I also here that American Homes has changed there names a few times leaves you wondering? Well we the buyers will win at the end
