American Intercontinental University - AIU teaches sales people to rip off Hoffman Estates, Illinois

I worked for AIU for 7 months. Being an experienced salesman, I liked the idea of counseling students. I thought it would be a pleasand change of pace. As I was going through the week long training course though, I kept wondering, "Where's the scam?" Finally, on day 4 it came to me. Federal Student Loans!

We were told never to discuss tuition on the first call. That was a function of the fincial aid department. From the inside looking out, it was nothing short of dream shattering. The only people who could make a go of it were people who received full tuition reimbursement from their employers.

The guilt I suffered while trying to keep my job was incredible. I had months where I enrolled virtually no one. The sales people, aka, national admissions advisors are well paid. And the management people are looking for any way they can to advance in the business world.

The corporation has no concern for the students. We were told, constantly, that we could change people's lives daily. I'm sure that's true. AIU sent many into financial dispair. I was overjoyed the day I was fired. I no longer had to perpetuate this scam to feed my family.
