My car was towed by this company and impounded for about 1 1/2 hours. They charged me $20 for storage even though they are not supposed to for the first six hours. The way he did this was by dating the release of my car for the next day 8/30/13 (lower right corner of invoice/photo) even though it was released today, August 29th, 2013.  Verify that the date of this post is August 29th, 2013 and I think you will agree they are trying to rip me off. Don't use this company. Thieves.

I can understand being unhappy when your vehicle is towed without your permission but I can't understand why you would make false claims against my company. The date you are referring to is not something we fill out. That is signed by the registered owner upon the release of the vehicle. It appears that you must have put the wrong date in error on this day in question.

I do apologize about the $20.00 storage charge that was charged to you. Like I told you when I had you come back to our impound yard it was an honest mistake on our part. The driver who towed it wasn't here and when I did the release I confused your ticket with another vehicle that came in around 12:30 am that morning, but I am confused why you are posting this because after I refunded you it appeared you were satisfied.

Might I also make this recommendation, I would refrain from posting your personal information on a forum open to the public. In this day an age its not a wise decision. That is just my personal opinion for what it is worth.

We have been in business several years now and if you check our rating with BBB and other sites like that you will see our record and reputation is a very good one. I realize that there are companies like Apex Towing out there that are making it very difficult for us reputable companies but unlike companies like Apex we don't have a laundry list of criminal behavior in the towing industry.

Question..

If he dated it the next day just to charge you a fee..why did you accept it?

How come you didn't call the police?  Yes..this is technically a "civil" matter but in this case they could have verified that it was in fact the wrong date and to avoid any "issues" they may have fixed it right there.  Or at the very least you could have used that to a)file a complaint with what ever agency regulates the tow trucks and b)File a Small claims case to have it on record.

Of course while something like this isn't as "concrete proof" as a law enforcement officer..it has some creditibility as to when it was posted.  So you could of course try those actions now if you are telling the entire story.
