On 10/21/2013, I entered a Commercial Truck Rental Agreement with American Truck Group LLC/National Truck Funding. Since that time, the level of communication, correspondence and resolution has been dissatisfactory. However; issues escalated in December of 2014. I have made contact with customer service representatives Ella and Ralph Cox on the dates of 12/10/2014, 12/12/2014, 12/15/2014, 12/17/2014, 12/18/2014, 12/22/2014, 12/29/2014, 01/05/2015, 01/07/2015 and 01/09/2015. This contact was made to discuss resolution regarding disclosure issues, billing issues, excessive fees, payment discrepancies, disregard for formal requests for itemized billing statements and payment history, repossession, refusal to return business documents and personal property recovered; in addition to the truck’s recovery. On 01/07/ 2014, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau; in attempt to achieve an amicable solution. However, the acknowledgement of the complaint provided by American Truck Group was frivolous. It was stated the amount at closing was $5,000.00 and I paid $4,698.00. I was advised the amount at closing was $4,500.00; yet in total I paid $6,100.00; provided the inclusive and undisclosed fees. I was also charged $503.00 for an application fee; which I was advised would be credited to my account upon completion of a rental agreement; which never occurred. The acknowledgement also stated I requested additional fees to be added to my contract; which is frivolous as well. In what world does an individual request to pay additional money to a company for no actual purpose or service? The acknowledgement also stated I had deferred payments. I admit to having deferred payments; based on unexpected circumstances; yet in those instances my account was brought current. It was appropriate for them to utilize the term deferred; due to it’s acknowledgement the payments were late; yet they were received. It was also stated there is a balance of unpaid rent in the amount of $3,137.00 and recovery fees in the amount of $1, 218.75; which total $4,355.75. However; my requests for an itemized billing statement and a payment history for the duration of the contract have been disregarded. Additionally, Section XIV of the Commercial Truck Rental Agreement states “Should NTF terminate the agreement, it is understood that deposit refunds shall be applied against any monies owed NTF, including but not limited to the cost of refurbishing Truck to a rentable condition, towing if applicable, rental payments owed, taxes, fees, and any outstanding charges on Customers account.” Therefore, my deposit amount of $6,603.00 is in excess of the amount they claim to be due and I am due a refund. It was further stated a letter was sent certified mail providing notification of default; yet I requested another be sent; due to non-receipt and that request was disregarded. I was advised by the customer service representative, I acknowledged receipt by signing for the certified letter; yet the documentation reflecting the accusation of my receipt of the original letter; was disregarded as well. Further, I never received formal notification of American Truck Group’s intent to repossess. If formal notification was provided, I would have had the opportunity to remove my business documents and personal property; as well as return the truck to them myself. in essence, this company is very deceptive, fraudualant and something must be done. I am very interested in a class action suit; to recover some of my money; as well as my business documents and personal property. DO NOT TRUST AMERICAN TRUCK GROUP OR AFFILIATES!!!!!

I myself entered an agreement with ATG. I found them online while researching trucks. I looked over their website and thought it sounded like a good deal and people who might really care about truckers... I got in touch with a woman there ( cant remember her name ). She said i would pay an application fee of $475 ( really it was $510 when i looked at my account ) but said it would be a credit if i decided to go with the " lease " as she said so i didnt think anything of it. ( should have been my first sign ) Anyways she said i would only pay $1990 down on the truck and all my payments would be made to the balance and after a year of payments i could buy the remainder out. So, i proceded down to Gulfport, Ms to look at the 2013 KW T660. I get down there and only one is available and all the other trucks have too many miles. Well I liked it and it was pretty nice for a old Tyson truck. So we proceed on the process and now they need a total of $5100 for the down payment and other fees. They also charge u $200 more for a 2290 and wont let u pay for it on ur own cuz now all of a sudden its a " RENTAL ". My dumb self should have turned around and walked away but no i freakin didnt. Im $5610 in the hole now cuz i was caught up in tunnel vision. So i got the truck and the clutch fan came and stayed on 3 days later. So i put it in shop and it comes to find out they put electrical tape on a cut ecm engine harness wire to try and cover up. $2400 later problem not fixed. They check other engine harness side and it also has a taped up cut wire. $1800 later and its fixed. ONE week later the injection spill valve code was thrown and it started to derate. It was fixed 3 days later. ONE more week later the starter went out in the fuel island!! $900 later it was fixed, SIX hours down the road i was losing my batteries slowly ( granted it always went between 12 and 14 and i just thought it was because it was charging clima cab batteries ) but the d**n alternator went out. Turns out per mechanic at MHC said they put new batteries on it and never checked the bad alternator ( even though in the contract and money i paid they did a 500 point inspection of EVERYTHING. ) So the batteries were shot and alternator gone. $1400 later im running ONCE AGAIN. I crap u not, TWO days later, the fan clutch goes out!!! $ 600 later thats fixed. Now im dang near broke!!! Next freakin week, the engine light comes on and says dpf injector valve no response and pi sensor open. Well the regen light comes on and truck loses its power down 10 mph. Luckily i was only 10 miles from home so i limped it home. I told ATG and they told me to take it to shop so i did. Its been there for almost a week now and im ready to move on. I have lost so much money and respect for loads arriving late because of breakdowns. One walgreens dc load put me behind a week because truck brokedown and i couldnt make appointment and they wouldnt reschedule until the next week!! This place is just a ripoff of crap trucks and crazy hidden fees. Just like how they say they will meet ur payment hahahah and the payments u make dont even go towards the balance, they only offer u a chance to buy it at a depreciated value after the first year. ( you find that out halfway through the contract after they already have ur freakin money they pressure u for ). I know this is long and i could go on and on but im done. Just stay away from this place, i really don't see how the people who work there live with their self and sleep at night. I would love nothing more than to get a class action suit against them.
