My 94 year old mother was contacted by a salesperson from Americare Health. Mother is hard of hearing and doesn't talk on the phone if she doesn't have to. I happened to be away at the time and she says the salesperson was quite pushy and wouldn't get off the phone unless she signed up for the HGH product.

She paid with her credit card over the phone. The cost was $499 for one year's supply. The salesperson told her how much better she would feel when she took the product. He gave her a phone number, but she wasn't able to find it when I questioned her about the purchase.

She often orders homepathic supplements so I didn't say much. She received the product - it is a spray that she is supposed to use the 1st thing every morning. This didn't work for her since she is on thyroid medication which she takes first thing every morning.

After trying it once or twice, she decided she didn't want to keep the suppliment.

She did receive a follow-up call from the salesperson about 30 days or so after she received the product. He called after 9 PM and she was in bed. I told him she wanted to return the product and that he shouldn't be calling that late at night. He asked if she had been using it, etc.

He said he would call back at another time. He waited at least another month before calling. Mother answered the phone and told him she didn't want to keep the HGH supplement. He then told her she couldn't return the product and that he had been selling the product for over 20 years and has helped a lot of people (in other words he has ripped off a lot of people).

I got on the phone with him and he once again wouldn't take "no" for an answer, so we felt "stuck." I ended up hanging up on him, I was so irritated with him.

Mom has ordered a lot of homepathic medications in the mail and has never had any trouble returning any medication that she didn't feel helped her.

I called twice to get a return authorization from the company and of course I was told that they only take product back if it had been agreed on at the time of the sale and that they record all conversations.

People my mother's age are used to being able to believe everything they hear. They don't realize how easy it is to be taken advantage of and this company is one of the worst she has come across in her 94 years.

I was able to talk to the president of American Health. He said he would refund my mother's money and he was sorry it didn't work for her. I had to send the product back to the company and he would refund her account when they received it. He was very kind over the phone. I wish I hadn't had to call so many times and file this report in order to get the refund.

I did check with the charge card company and the refund is now in her account.

I am the President of Americare Health and this complaint is concerning.  I would like to be contacted at (800) 498-9799 to make arrangements for a full refund.  Please contact me and ask for Mario Gonzalez and advise the customer service rep that answers the phone that I left a message to contact and speak to only me directly so that I can facititate a full refund.  Our company has been in business for 16 years and we do stand behind our products 100% and helped countless people achive better health. I understand that evryones bodies are different and if the product is not to yopur satisfaction I am more than willing to homor a refund.  i understand that salespeople can be quite persistant but what I have heard here I am not happy about and would like to first and foremost resolve with the customer and then addrees the represntatives that spkoe to her.  I am not aware of who the customer is but assure you once you contact me I will clear thius matter up quickly to your satisfaction.  We work hard to provide qualtiy products and our customers health comes first.
