Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

Around the first of last month, I took my car, a 2002 Jeep Liberty to America's Service Station located at 3610 Marietta Highway, Canton, Ga. to have the head gaskets replaced. At that time, the manager of the facility told me that it was useless to repair a Jeep since they were no good. I explained to him that this vehicle was a business vehicle and that it had been rigorously kept up and that I needed it back ASAP. They kept the car over a week and each time I called to check on its progress, the manager was rude and sarcastic with me. Also, he never once offered to supply me with a rental car, even though he knew I could not afford to have the car out of action for so long.

Also, in September, I purchased a set of Bridgestone tires from them. At the time I bought them, I was told they had a lifetime warranty and that Bridgestone was manufactured by Goodyear. When I took the car in to the same America's Service Station to have a flat repaired, I was told that Firestone made Bridgestone tires and that America's Service Station did not offer lifetime warranties on tires.

Again, I had to deal with the sarcastic, rude manager and was kept waiting over two hours while the tire was being repaired. I did not deserve this treatment and believe I was lied to and sold an inferior grade of tire.

Very Sad....

AUTHOR: Ex-employee - (U.S.A.)

The actual sad part of this posting is that they had nothing to say in their defense. No one in that store or any of their of their stores have any knowledge of any vehicle on the road, again please stay away from the hack jobs at every location, By the way anyone can own an America's service station. Not only have I worked for two of the aforementioned stations, but I have been witnesses to the sale of one of the stores that had too many customer complaints and made no money because of the hack job mechanics employed by the single owner. Take my advice, STAY AWAY from them.....
All of them.

Prove me wrong....All these people reporting all the ignorance at your stores can't be wrong. I know I'm right. What's worse is that You know I'm right. Please prove me wrong. I really wish you could. I have since moved on to a reputable shop that actually helps people honestly. No forced sales that are not needed. If your car is over heating we do not try to sell you shocks or even brakes. Just the things you need to fix your problem. Either way, they have no response to me because they know i am 100% correct. Please Please Please, stay far away from them, most of the people employed by a.s.s have no clue what they are doing.

Un-Educated Ex-Employee.....Really???

AUTHOR: Ex-employee - (U.S.A.)

The title of your rebuttal should make people wonder exactly what kind of people your hiring at your location. Yes you are correct most of your employees are uneducated. Most of your mechanics are also uneducated, your sales "team" also fits into that category. Your 40+ years in the automotive industry means nothing and chances are good your not even the manager of said location.
One would figure with all that experience in this industry that you say you have would make your store along with the other A.S.S. locations (owned by John) a little more reliable.
These tire shipments you talk about receiving daily, you know thats a lie. You get your tires from Kauffman tire, and they are not delivered daily. If a customer wants a tire from your location one of two things have to happen.
1. You send a General service tech. to one of the many tire stores in the area to pick up the tires.
2. You have to call Kauffman, american tire, or any other place and have them shipped in the following day.
Just because you can name a few tires in the road today does not mean you know anything about them.
I can sit behind a computer at work just like you people do an a daily basis look up information and put it in a paragraph to try to make myself seem a little more educated But anyone who has ever been in any of the above mentioned stores knows better.
For your next trick, how about you name off a few of the cars on the road also, that may help make you feel better about your education and employment in the automotive industry.

Uneducated "EX"-employee

AUTHOR: Manager - (U.S.A.)

Unfortunately the ex-employee did not know or even care to ask the automotive background of the management team at our location. Between myself and our General Manager we have a combined 40 years + experience in the automotive industry.

Also, we do receive daily deliverys of tires from two (2) different distributors if necessary. And as far as the tire manufacturers and if we know who's who, would you like to know about Goodyear, Firestone/Bridgestone, Kelly Springfield, Cooper, Toyo...what?

If the ex-employee believes this is incorrect, he/she may feel free to come by and discuss this with our team.

America's Service station, not a tire store.

AUTHOR: Ex-employee - (U.S.A.)

I am an ex-employee of this company, No I do not nor did I ever agree with or like this company in any way. They as a whole truly are ripoff artists and they will tell a customer anything they want to hear to make the sale. They will do or say anything to get your money. The only tactic i have not seen yet is physical violence, but im sure if they could get away with it that would be their next selling technique.

It is however not company policy to just offer a rental car to a customer, no matter how much money you spent with them. Had you asked them to help you out with a rental they more than likely would have. They do that quite often.

As far as the tire issue goes, they are not a tire distributer, they buy their tires from other tire stores in the area mark them up a bit then sell them to you. They do not stock tires, they do not get tires delivered. Most of the employees know nothing about tires. The sad thing is they probably did believe that bridgestone was a subsidiary of goodyear. The best advice I can give to anyone in your case is always make sure you do your homework before buying tires or anything else for your car from a place with such a bad reputation and horrible customer service.
