AMERICO short term disability insurance is refusing, trying to wear me down by saying my rare problem with my hearing was 'pre existing'. 

Leslie Eley, 'Professional Claimes Examiner', has called my sudden hypersensitivity to sound ('collapsed tollerance to sound')  and severe hearing loss that has rather suddenly left me unable to work at my profession of 34 years a 'pre existing' condition. 

I was notified of qualifying for government SSDI within 3.5 months of applying~!

Despite the obvious....that I WORKED at the same profession for this long, and other jobs since I was 16 years old,

gave information to the agent at the time I took out this policy

 ~~answering several questions from across my dining table~~ a

nd was NOT 'disabled' or with it then.  

They will not answer my questions on how they come to this conclusion.

They have left me no other choice but to 'sic' an attorney on them. 

Rather heartless to further complicate my life at this time.  I'm female, single, have worked more hours and days than most in my life even when I was married.  I took out this insurance, as most do, praying it would never be needed.

BUT...it is!  And they continue to take out nearly $90 per month (I don't dare cancel it) from what amounts to my savings account.
