Americredit Deceptive phone practice, help! Fort Worth Texas

While we ARE behind on our payment, I'm at my wits end with their phone calls. It's one thing to call us 15 times a day, but they've called our neighbors, too.

I do talk to them when they call, yet they still call 4 more times that same day. I don't understand this. They have called my brother in law, who doesn't even live in the same state as us. He's no where on our contract, but americredit insists that they only call people who are listed as references. Not true. We didn't live here when we bought the car, so why or how would our neighbors be listed as references?

I don't understand how they get away with this. I have filed a complaint with the FTC, but haven't heard anything back yet.
