Americredit ripoff Phoenix Arizona

I agree completly with Sharien on the problems alot of folks are having with Americredit as we are having the same problem!

We also tried to refinace with our credit union and was told the same thing we still have $11,000 to pay on our 2000 blazer which according to our credit union is now only worth $6500 and drops approximately $1000 each year with the payments of over $500.00 per month.

We are still trying to get the payments lowered to half the amount per month so we can save up for a down payment on a home, when we asked Americredit since we had only 1 late payment in the THREE years we have been with them if we could get our payments lowered, The guy Mike (supervisor) just laughed so hard he ended up coughing and stated "you want to what ?!" I am sorry
deary that is impossible, and good luck in finding some other company to take you over."

When I nicely asked for the company owners name he refused to give it to me and told me to go find it some place else as it was not his job to give out information just to supervise the collections department to make sure they do their job of calling up people who refuse to pay on their accounts, Mike also stated that they can call the same people up more than once a day and so called "Bug them till they send in a payment" which I believed them only once till I got wise and got some federal information on their business practices as to what they legally CAN and CAN NOT due as the people who work in thier collections department are by law considered "bill collectors" they are legally bound by federal law. I will gladly do an update when I found out more information.
