Ameriquest Mortgage - Argent Mortgage They lied from the beginning and it never stopped until closing, by then it was too late Schaumburg Illinois

When Argent Mortgage came to our home, the man said that we could call within one year, if on time, and refinance within days without any costs at all. We did not want to accept an ARM. Always were against them, but he said that was the way to go with our credit. We also said we did not want a 30 yr. mortgage. We also said that we were disappointed in the closing costs of another company & did not go with them. He specifically said that all closing costs and other costs to close the mortgage (lawyers fees, etc.) would not be more than 4,500.00 & the loan would not take more than 3 weeks to close.

We did so much work in the house that we had to pay the people, because it took more than 2 months to close. When we got to the closing the costs were over 9,000.00. We requested that taxes be included & that did not happen. They took my name off the deed of my families home & put my husband on it & said it would be done for 1 day until the closing and they would return it they way it should be. If they monies weren't promised to the workers we would have walked, but could not wait another 2 months to close another loan.

I called in a year and they said that there was no way that there were no closing costs or questions asked. Ameriquest said that it would be a brand new loan with closings, as well. They said they never heard of such a thing. My deed is still in my husband's name and nobody will take responsibily for what was done. I am stuck in a 30 yr. mortgage with an ARM & need to refinance again with horrible credit. My mortgage has gone up 400 to 500 per month.

I am trying to catch up to paying my taxes that I thought were included with my monthly payments, which I need to pay another 300 to 500 per month. The closing was close to a lynching where they said that if I did not sign, I would have to start all over. I would have never signed a 30 yr mortgage though. That is for sure. But was told again, that all I needed to do was make a phone call in 1 yr and it was easy as the phone call. Nothing else, no other credit checks, nothing.

I sent my complaints to the Better Business Burea, but again, nobody would take responsibility & they asked what I had that was signed stating what the gentleman said. This is just the 1/2 of it, there is so much more, but cannot think of it all at once. I was just searching the web for the new company that has my loan beginning last month & came across this site.
