could you please explain the pricing engine again please, I'm not quite understanding how that works. I was told that my refi cost was tax deductable but i never received a statement for my tax yr, I refi's yrs ago with another co, and they sent me a statement at the end of the year for my taxes, Im confused. Also I have heard that a lot of fees are hidden in their 2 yr arm loans, is this true? I just quite don't understand the points and how this is all calculated, when I took out my loan I tried to buy down on my interest, and my lo said he advised not to do that cause of the cash out i needed, then I didn't get the right cash out. things changed after we closed, I 'am in a lawsuite with them, but theres issues about the pricing engine I dont understand, would very much appreciate and help on understanding this. regarding discount points actually being origination fees. Since Ameriquest employees were taught to sell the tax deductibility of these points, this creates another POTENTIAL legal minefield for Ameriquest.

If one were to get a cross sampling of loans, you could show how these points did not discount the rate. That being the case, Ameriquest could have violated federal law by presenting these fees as tax-deductible discount points on federally mandated documents regarding the loan. Any consumer that uses these points as a deduction on their taxes could, unfortunately, be liable for tax and penalty.

If you find the other forum msfraud you can contact us from there, it seems to be hard to get in contact with anyone from here, but I understand.

If you google search "ameriquest sucks" you can find the forum, on that web sites home page there is a legal lounge with a lot of information on cases that ameriquest has had in court and lost.

Also if you find the other forum please make sure you read AMERIQUEST SHIP IS SINKING - PART II and Ameriquest taking on water , ship is sinking it shows how ameriquest works and how their lawyers work also. its a need to read if you are fighting them.

Thank you for the information, I did read it today, there is a lot of good info on that site inner city press. My lawyer has thought about a class action, I did give her the info for this site, but I don't know what she will do yet. I'm hoping I can reach Tim, on this site before they foreclose on his home. Update of June 19, 2006: Close observers note that the lawsuits (finally) filed last week show that Ameriquest disclosed to the state AGs that Ameriquest had no pricing grid, and thus that all so-called "discount points" paid did not reduce the interest rate, but were pure predatory profit... pulled from inner city press.
