Ameriquest Mortgage Company ripoff - unfair practices Santa Ana California

I don't know where to start.. Ameriquest Mortgage company is the worse. First they over-appraised the value of our home, then they were suppose to include taxes, but didn't. Then they short paided our old mortgage company which I am still ( 2 years now ) trying to get off my credit report.

There latest problem is that they received a copy of our taxes, and paid them. They (Ameriquest) sent us a letter that we were delinquent on our taxes (they weren't due till December) and they paid them in August. We have asked for proof of what they have told us, but still have not received anything from them (3 months ago) Now they have added an escrow account to my loan to pay back what they paid, and a additional escrow account for "future" taxes.

This is an extra $ 550.00 per month on my already overcharged mortgage. Not to mention, that they put the new amounts on my December payment. When I went to pay the December payment, they informed me that any amount under the regular payment plus "my" escrow accounts will be returned to me in full. I tried anyway, and sure enough they would not accept the payment.

So now December's payment was late, and Januarys was due. Now they won't accept anything less then to total of 2 payments, plus the 2 escrow accounts and the late fees or it will all be sent back to me.

The last thing happened tonight. During a phone conversation with the customer service person she informed me that if I do not get all the payments in before the 1st, they will send me a letter with intent to foreclose. I tried to explaine to them that they are rejecting my payment and got the answer that I was in default of my loan, and I should make my payments on time.

They don't care that it is their fault, not mine, or that they are rejecting payments. Then she told me to contact my local housing authority and file a claim or make 2 payments by the 1st which if approx. $ 5000.00 with all the fees they have come up with. I also have $ 300.00 in other fees which they can't explain. After further checking into all the fees, they have been paying for insurance, which I pay because they claimed I lapsed in coverage.

Since all my insurances are together, that isn't possible, and I proved that to them... Still waiting for the fees to be reversed. Well thanks for letting me blow off steam and realizing that I am not the only one.
