We think they might have switched paper work with on us after signing How do i get those copies? They now talk about ballon payment and the paper work we have does not say there is one if there is a balloon pay and a prepay penalty then we will have trouble getting refinanced
They also will not work with you if your late we have been late sometimes and the machines that answer the phones listen as good as the loan officers do which are a bunch of jokes My pre aproval was 7% then next day 9% Sayed we will close by end of month not to make the payment Then came back with 10% +or- but ended up with 11.3% spent $600 on 2 appraisals can't get copies of them the appraiser sayed ameriquest had the only copy Closed at our home on my lunch hour with someone we never talked to before and never heard a word from officer again would not answer phone if we called him hope he does not work for another company that calls on us if he does he better be one big dude
Anyone know how i can get the orginal papers or a good lawyer please reply to this report
Thanks
Keith

My sister has gone thru many of the same problems as you and others that have expressed many issues against Ameriquest, such as over charging on closing costs, being lied to, putting borrowers in situations that will hurt them in the short, and long term. Also over appraising on the loans, pressuring you into getting the loan, fruadulant forging documents, and even not showing you some of the closing statements.
Thank God that Ripoff is available to people because it will help you in more ways than you think in choosing the rigt company to do business with. There are many avenues you can take to get all the help you need because many of Ameriquest's tactics are illegal, and that's when you go to the right authorities for help. This company is operated on the basis of making money for themselves and the loan officers. They will do anything to close a deal even ifit's breaking laws.
Go file complaints with your Attorney Generals Office, your local congressmen, the US Banking commission, Mortgage regulaters, the FBI, the Dept. of Finance and Taxation where you live. This is your loan, and you have rights.
Ameriquest, and thier Loan Officers are not God, and are 100% liable for restitution for you and others. In plain english, go to the LAW. It works for you, and it will ultimatly shut them down like they did in so many areas. Fight for your rights. I know the law, and my sister is pursuing the course that I have written about, and wining! You can to. Sue, and sue the loan officers too. It's your right so use it!

They must give you an copy of your file. Call corporate if you have to - they are out of Orange, CA. Ask for the legal department. Also, call your attorney general's office and file a formal complaint and request your file through them. Attorneys are hard to find for this type of case, but once you receive your file you will have a better chance. Most likely you will find many issues in your paperwork - read every item on the application, HUD-1 settlement statement, etc... and make sure all are correct. Much luck to you. It's a hard battle to win but whatever you do, don't back down.
