I recently was informed that Ameriquest Mortgage is THE sponsor for the upcoming SuperBowl in February 2005. I researched and found this article on the internet.
NEW YORK -- The NFL and Ameriquest Mortgage Co. have signed a deal that makes Ameriquest the "Official Mortgage Company Sponsor of the NFL" and presenting sponsor of flagship NFL initiatives, including the Super Bowl halftime show, Pro Bowl balloting and "NFL Opening Kickoff."
Under the agreement, Ameriquest will be able to display NFL trademarks, including use of the NFL shield logo, Super Bowl, Pro Bowl and the 32 NFL team marks. The company will be a presenting sponsor to three of the NFL's marquee programs themed around Super Bowl, Pro Bowl and the kickoff of the season. Overall financial arrangements were not revealed, but the cost to Ameriquest for its Super Bowl involvement was put at $15 million by USA Today.
The entertainment for the Ameriquest Super Bowl XXXIX halftime show will be announced at a later date. Super Bowl XXXIX will be held on Feb. 6, 2005 at ALLTEL Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. The game will be televised by Fox. The Bonham Group, Denver, and Passage Events, Seattle, facilitated the agreement on behalf of Ameriquest.
Ameriquest and the NFL first teamed last month on "NFL Opening Kickoff," the football and music pregame show on ABC that preceded the first game of the season. In addition, Ameriquest has local NFL team agreements with Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Minnesota, New Orleans, New York, San Diego, and San Francisco; and also is in its first year as a sponsor of MLB.
"This is a historic day for Ameriquest," Adam Bass, senior evp for Ameriquest, Orange, Calif., said in a statement. "The NFL is a terrific partner because of its broad national audience, deep fan base, and its renewed commitment to provide an entertainment product that appeals to the American values of home and family."

Besides having their name on the Texas Rangers' stadium, they are "the official mortgage company of Major League Baseball" now. It's a shameless attempt to buy credibility. This kind of stuff costs millions of dollars -- which were ripped off from unfortunate consumers.
I suggest that Ameriquest victims personally write to the NFL and MLB league head offices, it will carry more weight that way. Also include links to ripoff report, state AG's reports, etc.

I am not a big football fan and I do not have to deal with Ameriquest (with the exception of those little mailers they send out). I would be willing to write letters of complaint to the NFL teams, the advertisers of the SuperBowl and anyone else who might listen. After reading the horror stories on Ameriquest, I am definitely not a fan of Ameriquest.
