WARNING:

This company is managed by Alcides Roman aka Al Roman also dba  Amstar Consulting Group also dba  Amstar Investment Properties

Before doing any business with this company. Be aware that this man Alcides Roman specializes in Fraud, Ponzi Schemes, Investment Scams and Financial Services Scams.

Check him out on Orange County Public Records - Florida. You will see he regularly goes to court for breach of contract, there are loads of victims. That's what he does, lies, scams takes your money then keeps it.

Don't expect much if anything in return for your money except, lies and empty promises to pay you back. These will go on for years and you will still get nothing.

Around 15 individuals and I were stung by him in an elaborate Ponzi scheme in 2006 / 2007. The company name he used then was Amstar Investment Properties.

He forged documents, copying a logo from Mutual of Omaha onto a letter heading and showed it to his clients/victims, stating that he was bonded for $10m US dollars and that their investment was covered . He also said we could not lose our investment money and that he would make us all excellent profits. All lies. He had no such bond with Mutual of Omaha. The only one to profit was Alcides Roman.

He took tens of thousands of dollars from each of these Florida families, even one special needs family with young kids. Then around Sept 2007 he started bouncing checks on investors.  Meanwhile he  continued to take money off new victims this time taking hundreds of thousands of dollars and kept their money as well. Wrecking peoples lives along the way. He is a complete sociopath.

Soon after this he closed his Winter Garden office. He then ran away to Puerto Rico for a few months and started Amstar Consulting Group. This man has no shame or remorse at all. He verbally bullied and threatened myself and other clients who wanted to know what happened to their money. He kept promising he was working on a huge new deal that would get us all paid back.

We could never get a straight answer out of this man even when he finally came back to Florida. No one I know of the 15 victims ever got their money back. Some lost their houses and retirement funds, some their life savings. He continued to lie that he would pay us back but never did.

Give him your money for whatever reason and you can expect to never see it again. That's what he has been doing for at least 5 years now.

Finally he is going to serve some time for some of the money he has defrauded. 41 Months in Federal Prison.

Well done Louisiana Federal Bureau of Investigation!!!

FINANCING SCHEME GETS FLORIDA MAN 41 MONTHS IN FEDERAL PRISON

SHREVEPORT, La.: United States Attorney Stephanie A. Finley announced that Alcides Roman, age 53, of Ocoee, Florida, was sentenced Monday to 41 months in prisonand 3 years supervised release for defrauding $340,000 from individuals in Louisiana seeking business loans.

The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Tom Stagg. Roman was also ordered to pay $340,000 to his victims. In November 2007, Roman, doing business as Amstar Investment Properties, procured wire transfers of money from two different advanced fee contracts.

The first transfer involved a wire transfer of $200,000 by an individual looking for financing on several properties in Alabama and Florida. Roman represented that he could secure financing in the amount of $26 million for an advance fee of $200,000. The individual sent the money as requested but never received the financing or a refund on the fee as promised.

The investigation revealed a second set of victims in Texas who also sent money in November of 2007. Roman pleaded guilty to wire fraud in September 2012. He is to report to the Bureau of Prisons on February 25, 2013.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Shreveport Resident Agency, and was prosecuted by Senior Litigation Counsel Joseph G. Jarzabek.
