I was immediately suspicious about this business when they called in for an interview, and the office was nothing but a Bungalow that was decorated with obviously rented furniture.  The office had no secretary, and Ms. Maia Monroe herself was running the front desk. She made a flimsy apology about her "admin" being out sick. I doubt there was even and "Admin". I should note that there was trashy hip hop music playing during the interview. There was no stereo system in the office. It was playing from a desktop computer. The office was sparsely decorated, and everything seemed fairly disposable.

Alright, so the interview consisted of some filler questions, asking me where I was in my life and what my goals were and what my dreams where blah blah blah. Another sign that things where not right was when she mentioned that she wants to hire people that she can promote and make into supervisors. She said her goal was to make me into a trainer. I had previous experience with a company like this, and knew that something was definitely up. This company's parent company is also responsible for the Victoria Jackson scam mentioned in report #450422 on this site.

I started telling her completely irrelevant information just to bait her, and she ended the interview fairly quickly, repeating the old standby of "well, we will be reviewing applicants all this week and if you are selected you will hear from us. Have your self a nice day..." I was surprised when she called me back for the second interview.

It took her a week, but she got back to me, telling me to come in for a "second interview". She gave me a time, which in this case was 8:00 AM. I showed up at 7:30 Am, and Maia herself seemed extremely nervous of the fact that I was there early. She kept trying to get rid of me, asking me if I had already had coffee or food (I had). She turned the music up that was coming from her computer, that turned out to be an internet radio station. At one point I went into the room where her staff were already getting together for a meeting and she snapped at me and told me to go have a seat.

I sat down and waited. I listened to what I could of this conference call, and I could hear that the man that was speaking was a fast talker, and I could hear windows event sounds playing in the background, indicating that this was probably just a call being run over skype or something. It sounded very unprofessional.

The workers that were there, wearing red polo shirts and slacks, were very rude and evasive with any questions that I asked them. The majority of them said nothing more than "hi" when I said hi to them. After this conference call, one of the employees called out "Juice!" to the lady in charge. She called back "you have a 'Juice' day!"

Fast forward to the "second interview". As I was brought into the room, I was introduced to an employee and told that I was being trained by this person, and that we were going to be going to "various events like gas stations" and promoting a product. Basically, I was going to be pushing window crack repair kits to customers of gas stations. (sorry, a gas station is not an "event")

I told them "let me just stop you right there. I have this whole thing figured out..." I spelled out the structure of the company, the disposable nature of this office and the fact that the company they are working for changes names. And that I was onto them by this point. The two guys in the room literally went pale white, their pupils dilated and they became completely flustered. I told them that I was going to leave because I didn't want to be part of this scam.

As I was leaving, the lady running the office was also pale white, frozen in a ridiculous position and refused to look me in the eye. Her demeanor reminded me of a child caught in a massive lie. I wished I would have had something catchy and dramatic to say, but sadly I just left. I toyed with the idea of spray-painting the words "Scammer" across the front of the building, but I know they would just go have it painted, and probably report me for vandalism.

AMW International = SCAM
Sorry, a gas staion or a Military base is not an "Event"
