I signed a 3 year contract with Protect America. My salesperson assured me that I could use a cellular phone, as I did not have a hard line to my home.

After the system arrived, I found that I could not use cellular service because my home was to close to an air force base and the frequency was not available in that area. I continued to pay the 35.00 monthly fee, even though I did not even install the system because I planned to move.

After I moved to another location, I could not install the system because it had to be modified to fit the doors properly. I requested that Protect America send a technician to do this, which they did not. I'm still paying their monthly fee, but have as yet to even install the system. After multiple, repeated phone calls at all hours from Protect America to test this system - each time telling them it was not installed, I finally had enough. I sent a letter canceling my service. I've paid them approx. 9 months for nothing by this time.

The next call I get is from Anderson, Crenshaw and Associates, about 3 months later. I must say these are the most horrible little people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. This representative yelled through the phone at me so loudly that 2 other people sitting in the room at the time heard what he was saying! I tried explaining that Protect America had not contacted me regarding any balances due; had not complied with the signed contract; that I had paid them for 9 months of service for nothing; and that I was returning their equipment. This seemed to enrage the Anderson, Crenshaw and Associates representative. After this call, I wrote a letter to Anderson, Crenshaw and Associates disputing Protect America's claim, and disallowing them contact with me by phone, clearly stating that I could be contacted by mail, and the reason for that restriction as stated above.

I sent a check to Protect America paying them for the monthly fee through the date that I terminated the contract and returned their equipment.

Anderson, Crenshaw, and Associates have not attempted to contact me through the mail, though they have left several messages on my phone. They have failed to acknowledge my disputing Protect America's claim, have not verified any charges, and have reported my failure to pay them to all three credit bureaus.

My advice to anyone who even thinks about using Protect America....... RUN AWAY ------ FAST!!!
