Pet owner all around BEWARE OF Animal Care Center of Pasco County Used Negligence when administering large doses of Boosters casuing Cancer in our 8 lb Chihuahua New Port Richey Florida

Overdosing our 8 lb Chihuahua with Mulitiple Shots given in one office visit causing Cancer. On May 21, 2015, we brought our little Chihuahua, Bleu in for her yearly shot of Rabies instead she was given3 different shots all at once (Rabies Vaccine , Canine Distemper and a New one we Never Heard of, called Lepto)

Dr. David Griffin is the owner of the Animal Care Center and staffs a number Technicians and Veterinarians under his management and supervision. That day May 21^st a Veterinarian named Kenneth Reeves, a 77 year old man, was in charge with administering a number of the named Booster Shots including the Lepto shot in which he was pushy in insisting Bleu be given. My Wife asked him, you sure that isn’t overdosing her being the fact she is so small and such a small body weight? Dr. Reeves replied, oh no there is no problem. Again, he was very pushy about loading all these vaccines into her like she was a 12,000 lb Elephant.

Well that evening, Bleu’s face started to swell and all these bumps started to appear and she started to WE PANICKED! We were now in an emergency situation and it seemed Bleu was starting to ‘Fade Away’ or appear to lose consciousness. We started to become ‘Petrified’ by the very thought of losing her because of this Vets Poor judgment.  

About a month later, Bleu had a lump on her left lower Thoracic side of her lower Rib. ( this was the beginning of the End of her Life). Bleu also had lumps on her Head and neck are. Dr. Reeves passed it off like it was nothing. It appears now he was covering up for his mistake.

A couple of weeks later Dr. Brownell, under the Supervision of Dr. David Griffin, stuck a needle into the lump under the Rib and drew a Blood sample (Biopsy). After testing was completed, our worst Fears came upon us. Bleu had Cancer known as Hermangiosarchoma. This is a Cancer that effects the lining of the Blood Vessels.

We starting doing our research on the Internet. Countless Reputable Sources and Scientific Studies have shown, that when Multiple Shots are given to a small Dogs all at once can weaken the Dog’s Immune System and can Cause different types of Cancer.

The cost for X-rays and services started to mount up.

One day while being charged for an enormous Bill in connection with her Cancer, I finely confronted Dr. Brownell while my Wife was paying another Bill. Dr. Brownell walked me outside the Clinic so none of the Customers would hear the Truth of their Negligence and what was going on. Dr. Brownell proceeded to tear my Wife front and middle about doing research on the Internet and how she was irritated receiving a call from my Wife late into the closing hours of the clinic.

To top it off, Dr. Brownell said to me “ Dr. Reeves” is 77 years Old as if that was an excuse to load Bleu up the way he did. I think it time for Kenneth Reeves to Retire. He is a unsafe man to be working around and making life and death decisions with animals. He is a Liability at any level. Shame on the Owner for allowing this man to practice.

When my Wife walked out after paying the bill, Dr. Brownell looked like ‘the Cat the swallowed the Canary”, she proceeded to tell my Wife Rudely that they are not the cause of Bleu’s Cancer and became very Hostile and Defensive. Dr, Brownell was very uncompassionate and rude to both of us. Never once did we raise our voices or use any Foul Language.

We had a right to inquire about our Bleu we Love so much. That is our right.

We had been going to animal Care Center for 10 years and at frequent occasions my wife was treated rudely by their Staff at the Counter. We put up with the rudeness for a long time but now we are speaking out to public and letting them know our Terrible ordeal we have had with this Clinic.

We went to Blue Pearl in Tampa to have Bleu undergo Chemo Therapy and spent thousands of dollars for many months. Even the Oncologist there said there was a strong possibility that she contracted the Cancer from the Bulk of shots administered by Best Care of Pasco County.

Dr. David Griffin never as much as came out to talk with us as he hides behind his Women Staff. Very Unmanly and Unprofessional. No Compassion and no caring at all.

The day after talking to Dr. Brownell my Wife called to get some flea treatment and was told by the Manager that she could not come back to the Clinic and if she did, they would call the Police. What?????

Adding insult to injury, they Killed our Dog and now they treat us like Garbage.

I hope when people read this they will be careful not to bring their Pets to Animal Care Center of Pasco County and consider other Clinics which have more Professional Conduct and show a Caring attitude and use proper judgment when administering shots or any care for that matter.

Bleu passed away March 25^th 2016. This was the worst thing that ever happen to us. We are so saddened words cannot describe how we feel.
