Anthony Allen Roach ESQ is Incompetent, Unqualified, Dishonest, Disrespectful Tarzana, California

Anthony Roach handled several related court cases for me.  He first contacted me to solicit his services and encouraged me to file an Appeal on a case that had already been heard.  I signed with him and was led to believe that he had more legal experience than he actually had.  During the course of my Appeal, he encouraged me to file two more lawsuits that he felt were strong cases.  We were able to argue the first case before the Appellate Court and before that hearing,  I personally witnessed Anthony Roach order and consume 3 hard liquor drinks and while I was in the restroom, I'm assuming that he ordered a 4th because his glass was full again.  I was nervous.  Do you want your attorney drinking before an important hearing? 

Our contract stated that he had malpractice insurance and the fact that he lied in the contract probably would not have been uncovered, except that he handled my cases so badly, I had to file with the State Bar to have him investigated.  The State Bar told me that they did not condone his actions, but felt prosecuting him would be difficult.  So beware...he's still practicing.

He has very little experience and instead of working with me, as the client, he would use his 'wife' and father-in-law as a sounding board..  Anthony Roach is extremely co-dependent and cannot function without the constant approval of his 'wife' telling him how wonderful and brilliant he is.  It's really sort of sad that this dialogue goes on all day long and even when court is in session and she is sitting there giving him backrubs and atta-boys.

He constantly discusses other cases with other attorneys during depositions, meetings, etc.  I think he wants everyone to know that he has other cases  or is possibly picking their brains for legal answers.  It's embarassing.

He demanded a check for jury fees before our case, in the amount of $10,000, even though there was no jury trial and used the money to pay their personal bills.  Checks were cashed into their personal accounts and when the billing did not match the money paid to them, they refused to give a billing detail to account for the difference.  He manufactured phony billing statements and to this date remains unaccountable.

Anthony Roach is a rageaholic.  He has an outrageous temper and I've witnessed him verbally abusing his 'wife' on occasion.  He threw an item at the courthouse window in my presence.

During one of our cases, one of the other attorneys complimented him and after that Anthony Roach seemed to think that he could possibly join his law firm when the case was over.  I really hate to use this analogy, but it seemed like he was humping the leg of this attorney for the rest of the case and sure enough, my case went south after that and was proof when he presented me with a settlement agreement that would make anyone wonder whose attorney he was.

Anthony Roach refused to return my files to me unless I signed the Sub of Attorney form, even though our case was wrapping up.  His 'wife' told me that they were not going to handle getting me my reimbursement because it would have to go through their law firm and would be counted as income.

He is a hot mess as not only an attorney, but as a person.  He depends on his 'wife' to communicate and she is always in the room when meetings are going on, since they work out of the living room of their small, dirty apartment.  These behaviors did not all unfold at first, but became more obvious over time.

I could go further into details, but am fearing retaliation and therefore not using my name.  All of my statements are the truth and my reason for writing this is that everyday, I suffer the consequences of having had him as he is a really bad attorney.  I believed in him partly because he was in the Navy, but someone has to be the bottom of the class.

My personal opinion is that Anthony Roach should find another profession because he is screwing up people's cases and lives.  He is a really bad attorney...beware.  Let my bad experiences be your warning.

I will elaborate further and include documents if warranted.  I'm going to have to file for mediation to hopefully get a judgment on my overpayment to him.
