Antwerpen Automotive Unfair Ripoff Randallstown Maryland

I purchased my first car from this dealership in 2001...and boy, do I ever REGRET IT!!! At the age of 18, I couldn't afford much, but wanted to get a car that got good gas mileage, with low payments, and a good warranty. I made this very clear to the sales rep, and at that age, I didn't know much about cars, so I trusted the woman who helped me...MISTAKE #2. She introduced me to the "Daweoo" which she claimed to be the next Honda Civic. It got decent gas mileage at 25 MPG, had a 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty, and with my down payment would only cost me $179.00 a month for a 4 year loan.

The day after I bought the car, I found out Daewoo was going out of business and that my warranty would be VOID. I had only driven the car home....and put 7 miles on it.

I went up to Antwerpen the next day in OUTRAGE and demanded that I get my down payment (which was my inheritance from my grandfather, the owner of Hutzler's Department Store) back and they could have the car since it had only 7 miles on it. It hadn't even been 24 hours within purchase and they basically told me "Too bad..." and sent me away saying that I should have learned more about the car before I bought it. Even AFTER Daweoo went out of business, this dealer continued to sell their product, sans warranty unbeknownst to MANY poor consumers. I since have sold the car to my ex boyfriend and purchased a more reliable, nicer, and problem-free car from a Dealership with a wonderful reputation for customer service, and from someone I actually knew would not rip me off. Avoid this dealership at ANY cost!!!!
