I have had 89.99 taken from my checking account for NetMarket and 79.99 for Credit alert. When I called them they copuld not find a record in there computer. They told me to fax a copy of the invoice to Customer support. I do not have a invoice so I faxed tehm proof that it was taken out of my checking account. I faxed the one on the Credit alert a week and a half ago and I have not heard from the,. I am faxing the one on Net Market today. This happened last year and I never did get my money back. How can they charge you and have no record of you in htere computer? I was not notified ahead of time that this was going to be done. What if I had not of had the money in the acccount to cover the charge? I would have been charged by the bank for something I do not want and did not order. They are ripping a lot of people off.

AOL is legally raping society

AUTHOR: Sean - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 16, 2004

I am priviledged to report that I too have been ripped off by AOL. Their promotions and "easy" set up plans encourage the novice to buy into the scheme with an understanding that everything will be treated fairly. Hell, look at all the disclaimers that are abound with AOL. You agree to sign your life away just to get on-line with that company.

My experience with AOL demonstrated the electronic billing tactics that forces banking institutions to decifer what exactly AOL is billing for and where the paper trail begins or ends. It is remarkably difficult to resolve billing questions with representatives that are not authorized to deal with customers face to face. I should know since I have been dealing with the same issue for almost one year to the date.

The AOL monster machine eats your credits in the machine just as easy as drag and drop. No matter how determined an individual may be it is still not fast enough to halt electronic billing "practices" from making overdraft charges. I have heard from customer service representatives from AOL describe the cause like the computers are just "ignorant". An operative screw-up best describes the strategy utilized with this beast AOL.

I am disgruntled with AOL and I share my opinion with a vast audience on the internet. I continue to be harassed by credit collection agencies that claim I ripped off AOL and still owe them. I do not have any intention of rectifying this bill and personally could care less if it reflects poorly on my credit report. I find more profit in warning individuals about this rip off AOL. I feel as though I am a martyr in a battle to enlighten individuals that do not like getting ripped off by corporations that claim to be in the best interests of the people in which they serve.

When AOL computers elicit at least eleven different routing programs for an account to be electronically paid, it seems somewhat aggressive and definitely crashes bank protocols and procedures. My own bank did not know what to do with AOL and shared with me that a majority of their customers are now being warned not to sign up for electronic billing with AOL. It definitely is a BAD IDEA to trust AOL with anything.

Peace.

was also ripped off by AOL Netmarket & Credit Alert, Don't let them fool you..

AUTHOR: Sonja - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 08, 2004

I too was a victim of AOL netmarket & Credit Alert. It happened to me. I was overdrawn on my bank account of $89.99 and I was steaming mad.. I contacted my bank, and Aol had a phone number on my statement. I called it, and they claimed that I had given them permission to withdraw the amount for Credit Alert.

I argued with them for a good 15 minutes, and requested that I get to talk to a supervisor on this matter. I told them they had no right to withdraw from my account, and I wanted the money refunded to my account.

I was told it would take 7 to 10 busines days to reimburse my account. 10 days went by, and no money. I called again, and this time demanded that the money be put back in my account, or I would get my attorney on it. 2 days later my account had been credited, but i was out $25.00 for being overdrawn.

Don't let them fool you.. You can get your money back.. A good threat seemed to work for me..here is a number that might help..1-888-289-6318 Don't let them fool you! Fight back! I did, and won!
