For the last 4-5 months, AOL has been calling my home number (which is on the do not call list) demanding that I update my credit card information for an account that does not exist. I do not give them information and they refuse to give me my account number, although their fraud department tells me that they are required to give me the account number.

They first say that I do not exist in their system. Then they say my phone number is listed but with a different account holder's name. Then they say there are multiple people with my same name in my area code and my answer to their security question does not match. WHAT SECURITY QUESTION?! I never had an account with them, not have I ever filled out any information for an account with them.

The representatives are rude and unhelpful. Every single one of them promises to help and the next day they claim there is no record that they called me. HELLO I am ansering their calls and they're saying they didn't call me. But they ask for my name and are calling MY phone. No one is helping me and my next step is getting my lawyer involved or finding one who is familiar with harassment, privacy policy disclosure (they obviously received my name and phone number from SOMEONE).

When they call it is automated from the number 877-773-4462 and they ask for my name and say that my account has been sent to collections for $77.and some change and that I can press a number to input my new information. I then speak to someone after pressing the number and they say I am not in the system. So they are harassing me and THEY don't even know why. But then sometimes they change their story while I amidst arguing with them. It is all very frustrating.

They have even sent me a letter in the mail stating their Privacy Policy which is a complete crock of crap. They claim they do not have me in their system and do not have my address but I have a letter from them.
