AOL Ripoff CHEATS PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY AND LIES Jacksonville Florida

I received a trial cd in the mail after moving to my new place in february of 2004 from AOL. I decided not to use it cause i was still using my other internet service. Well in june I decided to give AOL a try I had gotten another cd that said 3 months free. I tried it and HATED it. I didnt like the way anything was set up on it. So instead I called my local phone company and ordered DSL through them and then called AOL. It took forever to cancel finally they said they would send me a confirmation letter in the mail saying i had cancelled. I unistalled all the AOL software and never used it again after July 2004. I was just informed by my father this past June asking me why i was being charged for AOL when I had sbc yahoo. I said I dont have AOL I cancelled it over a year ago.

Anyways I called AOL up today and told them that I wanted the money back they had been charging me after I cancelled my account. They told me Ive never cancelled my account. Then the lady went on to say that I had never called, she LIED, cause the next person I talked to say I did call, then towards the end of the conversation she was like you never really called, I was like WTF??? you just told me i did, i asked to to refund the money and she said she would have to look my account over. Then she got back on the phone and said well you havent had any activity in over 6 months. DUHHHHHHHHHHH I cancelled the account. Then she still said I would have to write a letter to AOL to get my money back. She said she couldnt do anything except go ahead and cancel my account, which i already had canceled, so i went ahead and recancelled the account and she said they would send out a letter, however, she never got my new address after I had informed her that i had moved. So i doubt very much ill get this confirmation letter either. AOL SUCKS!!!
