*Consumer Comment: You were scammed
Was called by A.P.E. processing llc. Said he was a lawyer representing a paid day loan company. Told me I had a loan from 2012 need to pay this or go to court and have money taking out of work. If I didn't pay I would end up paying 2000 to 3000 dollars. So I payed them 500 .

You were scammed

You were scammed. Report it to the FTC but I don't think you will get your money back because the scammers are probably not even in this country.
The problem is this: now that you have been scammed once - you are on a list (probably) that is sold from scammer to scammer and it is very likely you will be contacted again for another scam.
Read up on financial scams. The FTC has good information on what to watch out for so you don't fall for another one. Go to FTC.gov to find out tips to avoid scammers. The best tip - don't pay anyone anything when they call you over the phone. The fact that they are asking you to pay something to a stranger is a pretty good indication that it is a scammer on the other end of that phone call.
