The way in which the company does business is very deceiving. First I agreed to a $695 report and would be held liable for the money if this shop did not perform my transmission services. I decided to let them do the work. My car was first placed in Aplus Transmission on May 3, 2012. I needed a new transmission and was quoted $2400 as the cost. I thought this was extremely high but wanted a quality repair as I really love my car and wanted to maintain it now that it is paid off. They kept my car for four days the first repair and I was forced due to work to rent a car.
I got the car back and thought everything was fine. On June 20, 2012 my car started sliding out of gears and would randomly switch into different gears. I took the car back to the shop on June 22, 2012. This time the second time for repairs they kept my vehicle for five days. I did not rent a car and bummed rides with friends for almost a week.
I got the car back and it seemed fine until the end of August when all of a sudden the car would not shift into reverse. This time they kept the car for 6 days did not even order the parts for the repair until the car had been there for over two days. They were doing the work under warranty and gave me a really hard time. Something about the mileage. The transmission that was brand new was only 3 months old. I spent $2400 hard earned money to have this transmission working. Only the last time when I did get the car back my car never ran the same again. I am having to add transmission fluid because their is a leak in my transmission. I do not ever want them to touch the car again as ever time it is nothing but worse problems.
But I will tell everyone not to ever use their services because they obviously do not have a clue how to properly repair a transmission. My car was in their shop for over two full weeks and still to this day is not fixed properly. I have began my media campaign because it takes such a long time to recover in Harris County Courts. But that will also be a step because the only way to fix crooks and car repair rip offs is to let others know so they do not fall into this trap. I will posting of facebook, twitter, Angies list and every scam rip off report I can find. I have had it with Aplus transmission.
