Apple Theft by deceit Nationwide

I have Apple gift cards which have been purchased with cash. I tried to order an Apple computer since I have sufficient cash value in gift cards to order one.
I have 8 gift cards totalling $1250. Apple.com would not accept more than 4. I rang customer service and they would not accept more than 4 gift cards in any single transaction.
This is theft by deception - my wife purchased these believing they were usable. The company took the money for them and now will not accept them in payment for the goods.

Apple got in touch and management sorted things out. I'm now happy and have my Apple Macbook.
Apparently the sales and customer services departments that I'd been in contact with didn't understand that it is possible to use more than 6 gift cards then compounded that by claiming that management had told them it was not possible.
Apple got in touch and apologised then rushed me my new Macbook and some free software as compensation. Best of all - it all arrived 24 hours later!

Actually, it's not theft at all. It's stated on the Apple site that they'll only accept upto four cards at a time, when placing an order online.
"Can I use multiple gift cards when making a purchase?
Yes. You can use up to six cards when making a purchase at a retail Apple Store and up to four cards at the online Apple Store."
However, there is another option.
"Can I merge multiple Apple Gift Cards into a single Apple Gift Card?
Yes, you can do this at a retail Apple Store."
